Actually Jimbo's post could be taken both ways. No harm clarifying things for folks though.

People who don't have a ticket yet should be looking at the website 2moro afternoon for the next (possibly last) set of criteria I reckon

Club Wembley wouldn't be for me. I would never resort to violence, but am very easily wound up, especially by gloryhunters of the classless chavs, bindippers or Manure ilk. They make me see red, excuse the pun in two out of three cases. I had a bad case of verbals on the tube after the semi against the chavs when some fat twat in a Chelsea shirt of about an age where wearing football shirts and gelling your hair up isn't such a great idea was mouthing off about us as if we were Halifax Town. I wasn't proud of myself and it was very immature - and yes, I'm a bad loser - but boy it felt good.

Fair play to you Richard. I must admit one of my biggest regrets to date in my 27 years (there are a few) was not having a go back at the plastic ManUre fan from Surrey/Kent/Herts/Hampshire/Essex who was horribly acerbic in his comments about Villa following the 2010 final. I'm not for a second suggesting violence, but I really wish I'd said a few things back because it has always hurt me. I felt I let myself and the Villa down.

I would love a ticket and have been offered ticket references by some lovely people on here but can't get up to VP. My sense of missing out - albeit fairly so - was compounded by finding out yesterday that my friend Rob from Chichester is going and a good friend, Haroon from Dudley, has also got a ticket. Still, I shall proudly be representing the boys at the local pub in town. Went in last night on my run to check they are definitely showing the game and rather enjoyed saying 'Are you showing THE VILLA on Sunday afternoon?' When the barman said, do you mean Villa vs Liverpool, I said no, THE VILLA. You have to educate these people little by little I find...

Yippee.  Sorted.  Brother got four seats together in Block 532.  Would not seem to be down to odd/pairs of seats yet.

There was a fair few down there, but it would seem theres more tickets left than we may think. We had a lot of options on where we could have sat, upper and lower.

And if you can still get 4 together, there's a possibility it won sell out which will look small time and there's no excuses really

Well, after the first set of criteria had been worked through they could have just opened it so anybody with a varied booking history could purchase online. Then the likes of Richard above would have been able to go.

I can't imagine that he's the only Villa fan who would be keen to go but isn't, while tickets remain potentially unsold.

Isn't it still just fans with a booking history for this season? My old man is dying to go but hasn't been since Hull last season. He's in his 60's and spent a lifetime going down, just not very often anymore, I'm sure there's thousands in his situation.

Surely it will go to varied booking history wont it?

Have you tried phoning them Richard ? I've read a few posts and for people living outside of brum they've been doing next day delivery etc, worth a phone call!

Only flogging them to personal callers seems a bit of a daft situation to have got ourselves into.

If the reason is because they can't guarantee tickets will arrive on time, then fair enough (mind you, why not? This isn't a third world country, we have a decent postal system, and maybe they could improve the delivery options using the offensive "processing charge" or whatever it is called these days), but they surely got themselves into this situation by spreading the differing criteria over so many days.

So, having only just found out about the availability of tickets, a week or so before the event, the criteria list having expired, it is down to people who want to go AND are able to get to Aston in midweek. Oh, and who are able to arrange transport / stopovers in that short period of time.

That strikes me as a not ideal situation.

What time is the ticket office at VP usually open until?

Perhaps a long shot but in return for two references I'd be willing to make the trip from London to Villa Park to get tickets for anyone from here who still needs them but cant get down to the ground.

Liverpool are charging £6.45 delivery, and the last of their tickets are being sent out today at the latest.
