Hi.I see a couple mention working for Dougie Brown.. is that an issue?
Not at all probably just the way i worded it.....but if for arguments sake if say a player like Michael Clarke retires
completely from playing cricket would we as a county expect someone of his profile to come and work for an
ex-player such as Dougie who didn't amount to much on the world stage...although massive on the Bears stage in terms of service and attitude
to the club, we employ Jim Troughton as fielding coach could he be better served as a batting coach.....i don't profess to know the answers!!

Nine down and over 17 overs (minimum) to survive. Not looking good.

Minimum 13 overs to go. Not sure it they'll play more than the minimum though, think a bit of time was lost yesterday?

The batting seriously needs looking at, not a single one averaging over 40 this season. Chopra's scored nearly half of his seasons runs in 2 innings....

A team that was in with a chance of the title a few weeks has imploded terribly. One could argue too much one day cricket - we were going quite well prior to this. Batting is awful and even the bowling is poor.

Batting is awful but so has our fixture list. Started behind other teams in the Championship and then had spells of 20/20 games and then 1 day games coming all at once and then another relatively lengthy break. But that notwithstanding we are poor batting wise. Laurie Evans hasn't followed up last season, hain's injury has hampered him (if not physically took him a while to get going), Chopra, Westwood, Porterfield etc etc are not a top flight batting line up. Thank heavens for our bowling unit.

To be fair though it's been pretty much the same for all the teams with the championship put on hold for various one day games. I really wish I could get into 20/20 but it does nowt for me.

The Sky coverage is scheduled at ten so that's a rough guide. It may well be later than that, especially if there are rain interruptions.
