Westy out for a magnificent career best 196. The Bears all out for 435. Bresnan took 5 for 85 so England might come calling to add to their Yorkshire contingent.

Agreed. Taking five wickets when the opposition are out cheaply is impressive. Taking a five-for when they get a big score just means your fellow bowlers were crap.

That comment was somewhat tongue in cheek and based on England having six Yorkshire players already, four of whom have been wearing bibs and serving drinks.

Right on time Bresnan gets a call up for the one day game against Ireland.

Yorks 269/8 trailing by 166
Rankin 4 wickets, Patel 3 and a run out by Clarke, who must be one of the best fielders in the world.

303 all out.
Rankin 6 for 65.
Andrew Gale out for 96 in allegedly controversial circumstances and was not pleased by all accounts.

No doubt he'll be banned for a number of matches plucked out of the air at random by the powers that be.

A shame the Bears narrowly failed to enforce the follow on. I can not see anything other than a draw now as i feel the Bears will bat on to lunch tomorrow and leave the Tykes no chance  to get the runs but also not  leave themselves enough time to bowl them out
