I can remember taking a group of children for a tour of Villa Park as part of the volunteer work I do with the charity Barnardos, was one of the first trips i'd been involved with with them, the children we were working with at that time did have a few behavior issues, and can remember Jack giving them a strong word or two after one of them set the shower off in the dressing rooms! His passion for the club really showed as we went around the ground
RIP Jack.

In 1994 myself and a mate had a bunch of kids over for a football tour and a trip around Villa Park was on the itinerary, Jack took us around the place and had the kids (u17.s and mainly Manure and Liverpool fans) spellbound with his knowledge and stories.
RIP Jack, Villa man.

Another great Villa man. Took me on a tour of the ground in the 80s, it was brilliant. Didn't he used to man the scoreboard too...
RIP

RIP Jack. I remember him telling some kids that they should be supporting the Villa and not young start ups like Liverpool and Manchester United, "They have a bit of history, Aston Villa has heritage."

Went on a tour probably over 10 years ago, and remember being chuffed he was our guide. He knew absolutely everything about the Villa. He spoke about the 1957 Cup win and how the press had said that Villa may as well not turn up.
The tour ended at the Corner Flag and I remember looking over at Jack having a meal and supping a pint of Bitter and thinking you've earned that son ten times over.
Great man.
