I actually think we will get a point against spurs now , where two weeks ago I didn't.

Sherwood will have us up for that game.

Funnily enough the handful of noses I know have gone quiet too.

I spoke to my Dad this morning. He was at the Blues match yesterday. He mentioned our match and said that during the first half, all people sat around him were talking about was stuff along the lines of "God, Villa have scored again".

Obsessed doesn't even begin to cover it.

At the risk of sounding obsessed myself, I was enjoying thinking about the Sty-dwellers hearing our half-time score yesterday.

Nice to know your dad's hearing is so good. Most of the people sat 'around' him were probably about ten yards away.

Despite the fact they will stay up (which is always an achievement for them) and wouldn't have won the cup anyway we have managed to totally spoil their season by beating them twice. Their only thought and ambition now will be trying to finish at least one place above us.

Some Villa fans are far too obsessed about Blues and Albion fans being obsessed with us. At the risk of sounding obsessed I am going to be keeping a very close eye on any of you who obsessively go on about the continual obsession that they so clearly have about us.

If Spurs play like they did today, I reckon we will be 5-0 by half time as even a shite team like Man Ure got 3

Clearly obsessed about their obsession to finish one place above us.

Assuming we go on and finish the job of staying up, we and they will know that the catalyst was playing them at home. They had a chance to inflict a huge blow which could have been detrimental and they didn't take it. They can keep hold of that memory.

I've not seen a back post butted header that good since Garry Thompson's second at the Sty, Christmas '87.

Me and my missus split up on Christmas Day '87. I was such a little nobhead then.

I've just watched the highlights on motd on iplayer.  We got the grand total of 7 minutes 55 seconds despite being on first.

What should they have shown that they missed out?

I do remember Delph nearly making it 5-0 right on half time with a low shot that flashed wide. They didn't show that. Can't think of anything else.

I got with one of my exes on Christmas Eve '87. It was the beginning of a ten year nightmare (apart from two nice kids). Thanks for reminding me of that.
