This score line really illustrates the differences between Lambert and Sherwood as managers.

Not really we did win 6-1 under him.

Could have been more. Great display.
I am not used to not having to hang on when we have a lead.

I think this categorically proves Lambert was the problem.

That's quite an understatement.

Behave. We'd have done the same under Lambert  ;)

The way the same group of players have played since Sherwood came in just goes to show how really poor Lambert was

Just been saying this to my old man, that this is the same bunch of players who under Lambert looked beyond awful each week

I haven't seen Defoe touch the ball in the first half.

I'm disappointed. Sinclair missing that from four yards and Delph going close. It should be six.

will be 8 If this carries on

That Jason geezer that fronts Final Score tipped this as a nailed on 0-0. Pundits hey?

All 4 of them on Sky were taking the piss before the game, 3 predicted 0-0 and Thompson went 1-0 Sunderland. Wankers

That makes it 5 goals in less than 50 minutes of recent league action

am I dreaming, I just hope this doesn't turn into a nightmare, Only a Villa fan can be worried about throwing away a 4 goal lead :-)

I put in the pre match thread that it would be a 0-4 Villa win because Sunderland are shit and we have lots of confidence back, I just hope we score plenty more in the second half to improve the goal difference. Happy fucking days.

Have 2 villa players ever scored a hat trick in the same game?

Give the manager his dues for getting the tactics absolutely spot on. He's not just a mouth or a motivator. He's proving bit by bit to be more than that. And credit off course to the staff he has in place. Good on of them. Let's have a great second half now. If the confidence wasn't high already it will be through the roof now. And for the loyal fans who have travelled all season and seen some utter shit, this one is for you lot. Enjoy the rest of the game and the trip home.

Let's hope that was our 'poor' half.
