I'm worried about Coutinho/Sterling up against Richardson

To even things up, perhaps one of them gets an injury against Newcastle?

I'm genuinely not concerned about Liverpool, if anything they should fear Benteke more than we fear any of their players.

Looking forward to this now

Not sure what kind of team we're going to be able to put out though! The diamond has looked good but we might not have the players for it

Need Westwood and Sinclair to get fit really

I am worried about Keegan and Dalglish up against Richardson even at their age now!

In all the years i have been following the Villa there has always been a saying "if your name is on the cup you will win it" After Wigan beating Man City  the season before last i think it is true.Just have my fingers crossed that  it is our name on it this season

Well pooligan there's only 3 other teams who can have their name's on it so why not us?

Anyway, after the beer of last night the pessimism and worry have returned. I worry that the result will be similar to the last time we played Liverpool in a big FA Cup game. That was also a week after winning well in North London.

I've also just looked at the league run in and can't see any way of us not going down. Nerves and anxiety fully set back to default mode.

I wonder if Sherwood would consider employing Jores Okore to specifically mark young Mr Sterling out of the game. Judging by their performance against Blackburn Sterling is the only one that could cause us trouble. Jores is very fast and should be able to deal with him.
and as Carlos is out he would add some physicality to the midfield. Probably a good job Sanchez is out because he would no doubt have taken out Sterling at some stage and got himself sent off. I was surprised how awful the arrogant Sturridge was in their quarter final. He is better than that. However judging by Ron Vlaar's monumental display yesterday he may not get many chances to show any talent he has.

If we can get an early goal we could be back at Wembley in a few weeks time.

Letter on football 365

Stevie's Dream? Give It A Rest
'A dream finale for their Captain Marvel before he goes Stateside is very much on and surely even the most cold-hearted of football fans would not want to deny him that,' writes John Cross in the Mirror according to today's Mediawatch column, which seems to have developed into a bit of a theme in the press in recent weeks.

My guess is that there will be around 30,000 Villa fans at Wembley, not to mention half of Birmingham watching at home, a few thousand Evertonians and the whole of flipping Manchester willing Villa to victory on Sunday week and if the football press continue in this boring and predictable vain then there will be hell of a lot more of us heartless b*stards hoping Villa turn Stevie's Dream into Stevie's Nightmare.

To clarify ONLY the winners of the FA cup would qualify for European football. Runners up do not get given European football if the winners had already qualified through the league position.

Bit of info requested please. Brother going down to ticket office on Tues to try and get tickets for him, me and MVjunior.  Can anyone confirm how many tickets he is allowed to purchase, and does he just need our names, addresses, and Client refs.  Thanks.

One per qualifying reference. Not sure about what he needs to take but I would imagine client ref, DOB, address should be enough.

Good luck, hope you get the tickets you need.

I'm cutting out the middle man and am now starting to wonder what team we will put out against Arsenal.

Many moons ago I mentioned on here that I'm not going to die until I've seen The Villa win the cup again.
Typical bloody Villa, there's a good chance I wont be making it to my 70th birthday. And here I was thinking I'd live forever.
