He got sent off for the assault on Boateng though, so I thought that did for revenge. And has he dived significantly against us? To set up a free-kick he scored against us at VP a few years ago, perhaps?

Perhaps just revenge for being the single most overrated player of a remarkably overrated generation of English players will do.

Yep, he ran into Petrov and won a freekick, shocking decision. Scary to think that was nearly 8 years ago!

Surely the solution that would satisfy the media, FA and adoring public would be for him to be the person presenting the trophy to Delph on 30 May? Perhaps in full kit with a birthday badge?

Liverpool airport has been shut for the past 8 hours due to a "Suspicious car".
Apparently it had tax and insurance and the radio was still in it.

I'm nicking that for Twitter. Nice one.

Twitter wasn't invented when that joke first appeared.  In fact I don't think the internet was.

To be fair, they had only just invented the internal combustion engine.

Love to hear the Beelzebub 'mile and a bit' chant with St Stevie as the subject, reverberating round Wembley

I think it's even older than that. It's one of Bruce Forsyth's.

Paul Ince unsurprisingly talking bollocks on da beeb...

Paul Ince is hoping his old club Liverpool will win the FA Cup in former team-mate Steven Gerrard's final match for the club on his birthday, 30 May. There will still be a sense of regret though.

"It would be nice for Steven Gerrard to finish at Liverpool by winning something," Ince said on BBC Match of the Day.

"But I wish it had been the Premier League. Someone of his greatness(???) should have won the Premier League."

He was the pundit last night and looked as if he was about to self combust. Really put the weight on and has a strange shape about him.

Gabby Logan looked a bit knackered as well

When we play Liverpool we just need to attack them and hopefully we'll have some of our injured players back.

They've just upgraded the Hadron Collider.  I think quite soon we might actually get to the origins of that joke.
