They have to be played some time, and Sky are not likely to agree not to screen any Premier League games all weekend so that BT and the BBC can get better viewing figures.

It's always been home games for Wembley tickets, why are folks suddenly surprised by that?

When you say "always" it suggests that this happens regularly not once in a blue moon.
Ignoring the away support is extremely unfair.

It's always based on home games when we get to Wembley. Even before booking history it was home ticket stubs, before that vouchers from home programmes. Why is it suddenly extremely unfair when everyone knows this is how we've done it for decades?

They've changed the way they do it over the decades. Previously cup games weren't given priority over league games for non-ST holders. Plus they never used to give precedence to those who had been season ticket holders for X number of years.

I don't see why the couldn't change the system again to ensure that attendance at all matches is counted equally rather than deciding, arbitrarily, that some games count as better than others.

It's fair enough that season ticket holders and regular home attenders get first grabs. But I could have bought 5 £10 tickets, not even bothered to go to the games, and be guaranteed a semi final ticket. I spent more than that on a single ticket to Stamford Bridge, almost as much on a single ticket to Loftus Road. I suppose there has to be a policy for these situations, I'm just a bit pissed off that I fall through the net

Maybe because they know for aways a lot of folks use someone else's reference? For example, of the half a dozen or so aways i've done the last few years only one has been on my reference.

Well, maybe. I still think it's odd prioritising someone who's been to one or two FA Cup games over someone who's been to nine or ten League/League Cup games.

Ultimately there is no system the club can use that will make everyone happy. Overall I think how we do it is fair, and I say that as someone who couldn't get a 2010 Final ticket. At least we have everyone who has a ST getting a ticket if they want. You'd have to have spent a fortune with Arsenal to even have a chance of one. And even then it's a random ballot for most.

Ah, to argue over Cup semi-final ticket allocations.

Just think what the arguments over the Champions League Final 2017 tickets are going to be like.

I don't see anything unfair in the way the club have done things, and it is made clear at the start of the season that attendance at cup games pushes you up the pecking order for semi-final and final tickets. It just so happens that this season all our cup games have been at home but in another year that could favour those of us that go to away games.
Breaking it down into small windows depending on how many years you've been a season ticket holder, or how many games you've been too is really just to even out the demand on each day.
There's enough tickets for everyone who qualifies via the stated criteria and for semis all clubs end up getting more tickets off the FA once the initial 31,500 go.

Much better than the ballot system you get for events like UEFA finals and Lords test matches, which are basically just money-making opportunities for chancers.

Everyone who ends up with a ticket will say the system is fair
All those that don't will say it isn't
I got a ticket for the 77 lge cup final because I was a shareholder

I'll get a ticket easily. I don't think the system is massively unfair, but I do think it could be fairer. Matches attended should be counted equally.

Ticket office told me that my 2 cup games and 11 home games can get me a ticket on the 7th April and my kids on the 8th.
So if anyone sees me camping after the qpr game in a peppa pig tent please bring me a coffee

i know I am guaranteed a ticket but cannot get one until 30th March. My father and I had been season ticket holders since 1968. But unfortunately he passed away at beginning of last season. This year his season ticket was replaced with one for my son who had to have a new client reference no. so has only 14/15 ST status so even though I have been ST holder for 47 years attending over 1000 matches I am still near the end of the queue!! Fair or unfair? You cannot please everybody.
