This is modern football gone mad. Selling tickets for a game you don't have a date for against as yet unknown opposition. I have to go to Spain for work but could conceivably take a break in the middle to nip back if the game is on Sunday but not if it's Saturday. By the time they get round to announcing a day and a time I'll probably be too late to get a ticket. Don't they ever think about these things? Don't bother - I know the answer.

If you're elligable for a ticket, just buy one.

If this thread is anything to go by, if you can't make it you'll not be stuck with the ticket for long.

Just had a text from dad, I'm on 5 games (I'm in London) he's in Hampshire and only on 4 games so he's not yet meeting criteria released (yep we know there should be more left over)

I'd understood if he goes on Saturday, ie *attended* before the 5+ criteria comes up, that would bring him to the same entitlement as me.

But :

Yes, if you go, i would like to go as well. If we go, will you get both tix please. Spoke to AV tix office, criteria for Semi, 5 attendances, was fixed BEFORE Swansea game, even if i go i do NOT qualify for Semi ticket. Dad x.

This sounds different to impression I had / others understanding, anybody else planning on relying on Swansea home to meet criteria? Is this right? They were obviously v clear with him, but I wonder if it could be a mistake?

Living abroad I have been looking at a few sites for the final that do Club Wembley tickets for overseas only, but while looking I also looked at a number of the sites for semi-final, cant make it back for that one, but a number of them has the game as Sunday 19th April  15.00hrs kick off, just thought I would let you know.

I've got the missus trying to book mine online. However, the plan's just showing huge swathes of red, with a bit of green that's not where I want.
Can anyone enlighten me?

Sorted now by phone.
Sorted ours by phone too but said they couldn't tell me where the seats were...awkward for my mate's daughter as she is disabled and can become quite disorientated in lower seats. Gone for Cat 2 in the hope that they're good for her...and us, obviously!
UTV!

this is different to what i was told yesterday when i was told that Swansea DEFINITELY counted, and (after a check with a manager) that QPR would too (played on the 7th, before the 9th)

Thanks Ross, that's exactly as I thought. I think its been done well on the whole ...

(though a friend of mine -despite my advice- screwed up not getting a WBA FA tkt reallocated to him before the game so may miss out, I think I read it's too late to reallocate now which is fair enough, everyone would be at it!)

But it does seen some wrong advice given out to my Dad  on this one...

They are waiting because Liverpool are the biggest TV viewing ratings puller. They don't want to be lumbered with Villa v Blackburn if the Scousers get knocked out.

Ahh the romance of the FA cup is still alive through the power of the media. Never mind the hardworking fans that have to plan a trip over 100 miles away from their home and need to arrange transport, accommodation, childcare, pet care and maybe time off work.

The BBC, BT Sport and the FA are treating the Villa fans with contempt.

I am sure that if it had been Liverpool waiting for the outcome of Villa vs Stripeyfilth the date would have been set.

100% guaranteed.

Liverpool don't wait.  If they did, there'd be a banner made about it.
