There's not really a bad seat at Wembley, so I wouldn't panic too much over when you get your tickets. For the Final in 2010 they only had the cheapest seats left when we got ours (this was slightly annoying as they'd allowed half season ticket holders who just bought a ST a month before, priority over us, so all the best seats had gone. To be fair, the ticket office have put this issue right this time).

Anyway the overall view was great, the only possible complaint was that you were quite far from the pitch.

This time I'll be happy with either of the Middle 2 price categories.

Getting mine next Tuesday then my lad qualifies for one on the Friday (been to 4 FA Cup games). Will get ours first then buy him a single and he can come and sit on my lap (he's only 6). I presume as long as I get a ticket on the same tier he'll be OK? As I remember it from 2010 once you are in you can walk all the way around the concourse area, similar to the NIA or NEC etc?
Will this work for me and my 21yr old lad ?
Yes it will as fans tend to stand at Wembley in any case!

Without gloating I'm in the Wednesday 9am batch.
Are there many more? Just trying to gauge how busy it will be.

I'm one too

And me
Me too but hanging on 'til Thursday as that's when my 3 fellow Trinity yobs' qualification kicks in.

That's where I should be but I cancelled my Cup Scheme ticket for the Blackpool match due to being up an Alp. First world problems and all that .......

Missing that one game drops me down the hierarchy to Friday morning

Rubbish. For the sake of £10.00 you should have just kept your ticket.

Given the way things were going when the 3rd Round draw was made, semi-final ticket buying priorities never crossed my mind.  :)

Anyhow, as I've discovered during various conversations with the Ticket Office, ordering your ticket first does not give you the best seat. In fact, it sometimes gives you the worst.

Definitely, I've discovered this at first hand experience loads of times.
Often my experience too.
Bastards!

I paid top whack for a ticket to the Chelsea semi final, and got first row next to the corner flag. I can confirm it was shit.

I'm not a ST holder but have only missed two home league games this season and have done a handful of away days, so I was hoping to be quite high up the pecking order. Went to the two last cup games but due to a problem in the ticket office finding my account details the Leicester tickets were all put under one client reference, so I'm going to have to wait until the bottom of that list.

As annoying as that is, you can't really complain with the way the club's structured that, and I'm really glad that all ST holders and those who went to all the cup games will get a ticket. I'm thinking that given we only have around 18K STH, and then generally quite poor attendances for the cup games that I shouldn't have too much problem getting one, but I'll be sweating until then anyway!

If any charitable STH's can't make it and happen to have 3 references spare... ;)

That's a good point. We also paid more and went lower tier for Chelsea. I prefer the view from the upper tier.

So, we are all intent on buying tickets for an event where :

We don't know exactly when its happening
We don't know exactly against who
We don't exactly know where our seats will be

Madness, sheer bloody madness !

BUT...its the FA cup Semi final so who cares eh ?!!!

My mate is getting his ticket via an ST holder and I have the x4 FA criteria for Friday 3rd - if the ST waits can they order the two tickets so we sit together - was much easier when we all just stood in the dark days of yore!

When is an acceptable time for me to start posting begging messages on here? I've got an away record which doesn't amount to a hill of beans according to the criteria on Villa's website.

The final criteria listed says 5+ 2014-15 matches. It doesn't differentiate between home & away

Actually, I have enough aways already though to meet the criteria

I'm not sure but I think that they count if the game has been played? Might be worth calling to find out?

If you are going to come up 1 game short, maybe you could find a season ticket holder to get a £10 ticket on your client reference for the Swansea game on Saturday? A £10 might be worth it to guarantee yourself a ticket for the semi-final!
