My missus is due to give birth 10 days after the semi-final. Need some diplomacy to swing that one.

I was in the same boat 5 years ago. Made it to the League Cup final, but the semi final was taking the piss a bit.

Mine says free overbite accommodation at hotel too .........

Seriously it will be one per season ticket ...... think the allocation is 35000 ...do we have approx 20000 season ticket holders ...say 5000 for other required should leave about 10000

Thinking back to the Chelsea am I right in thinking we didn't sell out?c

I'm fairly sure Villa sold out that one.

I doubt it. I had a couple that I couldn't give away.

Can't see us beating Man. United, it's just the physiological thing no matter how bad they are.

Think we'd have more chance in a one off game v Liverpool or Arsenal. Remember Arsenal needed penalties to get past Wigan in the semis last year and then nearly fcuked up the final v Hull so still a question mark against their big match mentality and Liverpool have had 0-0s at home to Bolton and Blackburn in this season's competition.

My thoughts exactly on Man U

A question I expect to asked in years to come to go with other modern classics. "Why didn't Frank make the draw?"

It is his 70th birthday today as well.

The Chelsea semi-final was different in that we'd only just been to Wembley for the League Cup Final, so potentially 3 trips to Wembley was a tough ask financially for many.

I also remember the atmosphere around the club turning a bit rubbish after losing the league cup final, & people feeling they didn't want to waste their money on more disappointment. Other than losing the league cup, I can't really recall what that was about, just that it was there.

This time, getting to Wembley out of nowhere has a really exciting feel to it, and more hope than expectation of a trip back a month later. There will be demand for this game.

The gate was only 81000 vs a semi-final capacity of around 89000, our tickets were on general sale.

Guess which idiot decided not to have a season ticket for the first time in 16+ years...
Me. First time since I was 11. 1995 was my first. Fuck.

Guess which idiot is on holiday for the cup final, celebrating a wedding anniversary date which was deliberately chosen 10 years ago because the season NEVER goes on until the end of May?

I think it will be X1 per ST holder
However it will be x2 per ST holder who has also gone to all 4 cup games so far.

The semi final draw is being made by Dermot O'Leary. Magic of the cup.

I seem to remember we eventually sold out literally late afternoon the day before the game after tickets had been on general sale.
