Cup masters
Liverpool v Blackburn (16:00 GMT)
Posted at 14:59
FA Cup masters
A Liverpool victory this afternoon would take them just one behind rivals Everton with regards FA Cup semi-final appearances, behind joint leaders Manchester United and Arsenal - who play each other tomorrow.
Perhaps more surprisingly, Blackburn Rovers are in ninth in all the all-time list and would go level with Tottenham with 19 semi-final appearances if they pull off a shock at Anfield.
Man United 27
Arsenal 27
Everton 25
Liverpool 23
Aston Villa 21
Chelsea 21

Not exactly Cup masters then.

We'll get around 35k-40k in terms of tickets, that's enough for season ticket holders, plus the FA Cup match goers with a few thousand to spare. The final on the other hand...

It will depend on any punishment the FA give us after yesterday. I still don't think us being kicked out or the game being replayed behind closed doors can be ruled out. Judging by some of the bizarre decisions they make, plus the media will likely put pressure on them to throw the book at us, who knows?

How many season tickets did we eventually sell this season?

I heard it was a similar number to the Parma attendance.

Villa have won two home games in a week. You're already in one.

Same here - didn't have the ST as a protest against Lambert
Should be OK for the semi as been to all the Cup games (including LC) and only missed 1 League - ticket for the Final would be squeaky bum time though!

Not a chance of either of those happening.

There is more chance of Ellis buying out Lerner than the game being replayed.

I probably said it on VT last night but look back to when SHA beat us in 2010 and invaded the pitch in which unsavoury incidents then occured.

I think they were fined 20k and warned as to their future conduct so there's your guide.

Yes it's going back years now but of course it shouldn't be forgotten Enckleman was actually assualted there after one of the goals and I imagine the standard fine and future conduct warning was issue then.

I have no issue with people criticising our fans for coming onto the pitch, especially before the final whistle.

The issue I have is other fans and press making this out as one of the worst incidents they've seen which is completely ridiculous.

For example on the Oatcake forum, I've been arguing with a Stoke fan who says our ground should be shut down for a game and our Wembley allocation signficantly cut.

It didn't take me much digging to find an incident involving Stoke fans entering the pitch.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/staffordshire/4496726.stm

Sadly most clubs will have incidents were fans have come onto the field of play and caused trouble so I just don't understand why other fans take higher stands on this when football fans all over are generally the same.
