Oh and if Albion are interested enough to want to know what is Aston Villa's goal of the month for March it's Scott Sinclairs in the 85th minute that knocked you wankers out of the FA Cup. Not so hilarious now are we ;)

Brilliant

If you look at @beardedgenius on Twitter (he who wrote it) there are some absolute fucking morons making themselves look like idiots by getting the wrong end of the stick.

Forgot to say that Clark was my MOTM again, what a change in fortune for the lad and seems to really have matured into a good centre half
He's been superb to be honest. I rate him higher than Cahill.

As consistent as Hutton has been, Clark is my player of the season so far. He was immense in both games, only blot was diving in and not getting there just before Berhino played Idaye through and Given came out brilliantly.
Agreed, my hope now is Baker and Clark can really nail those positions down, I like Okore but he seems error prone, I hope he irons that out too.

Okore is a much better player than Baker.
Jury's out

I like Baker, and he was my choice to play alongside Vlaar, but, I cannot argue with the pairing of Clark and Okore.
They're big buddies off the pitch and it shows. They complement each other so well.
Yes, there have been 'moments, but this partnership is still in it's infancy and will only get stronger.
I cannot see beyond these two as Villa's central defensive pairing for several years, now.

Clark is certainly my PotS so far, too.
I also think that Okore is essential because of his pace too. He's made some errors but I thought he was excellent in the second half last night. He will iron those creases out over the next year. This is still only his first season at this level.

Baker has done well this season, but I'd still be hesitant to trust him as a number one. Particularly now that Clark looks a lot more aerially dominant than he has in previous years.

Agree, Tom.
Isn't it great, though, having two young centre backs who are growing into a strong partnership and you have another young centre back who can come in and do just as good a job.

Glad to see the last few pieces posted here...a bit of perspective. Not proud of the pre final whistle numpties, but after the match seemed to be reasonably benign.

Most of those sanctimonious idiots in the media have never known what it's like to love a club so much that it hurts, never known the pain of watching your team sleepwalk to the verge of relegation, never felt the regret of hours and days wasted hoping for better. They have never felt the joy we felt on Saturday...that's why they don't understand. They're not fans, they are doing a job. Their job is to increase readership, provoke debate, make headlines. They don't understand what football means like we do...I feel sorry for them.

Hah! Surprisingly no sarcasm present. Colin Murray was actually talking sense and Lawrenson got a special mention for his overreaction.

And they would be correct.
If Pearce and Lawrenson hadn't reacted to the after match pitch invasion like a couple of pissy girls blouses, then I don't think there would have been much said about it.
Lineker was very nearly the voice of reason, but the damage had been done by that pair of twats.

Mark Lawrenson, a man present at the Heysel Disaster, comparing a pitch invasion to the dark days of the 80's. Pathetic.

This reaction to the storming of the pitch is so boring now. Nobody died.

Buncha crybabies.

Bang on, never stood in the torrential rain at Plough Lane only to see Alan Cork prod home in the 119th minute,  never started queuing outside the ground at 3.45am for an FA Cup Qtr Final away allocation, never travelled to an away game on the football special only to be held holed up in the train station parcel depot in the blistering heat not even seeing the ground, never paid out 3 weeks wages to watch their team in Europe , get cheated out by a ball that crossed the by line but still think it was one of your most memorable experiences.

They're so fucking clueless it ain't funny and just highlights the gulf between the common working class football supporter and the over paid, half  arsed, sanctimonious prick that is Mark Lawrenson and his ilk.
