One thing with pulis , he knows how to do a corner .

We look hopeless.we need to get Westwood off them and the free kicks.

I've had an insight into Tims half time talk.

Okay, guys, they've thrown all they have at us and they've all but run out of ideas.
Now go out and win the game.

Congratulations - no complaints from me. We couldn't live with your pace nor intensity in that second half.

We live to regret the two good chances we missed in the first half.

For every Pulis touter on here, they were outnumbered by those against going that way.
I, personally, was hoping we'd rip it all up and go 'continental', for want of a better euphemism; long-term plan, solid coaching and scouting setup, with everything geared towards supporting a progressive playing style. Appointing Sherwood seemed a bit like taking the easy option; British, available, been at Spurs, knows his way round the Premier League, all that kinda stuff.
I know it's still very early days, but I'm happily surprised with what he's done. Motivated players, decent football, couple of excellent results on the back of two "honeymoon" losses.
Pulis has come to town twice in a week looking for draws, and left disappointed both times. I watched the game back in full when I got in last night. First half was saved from eternal anonymity by the incessant noise, a distinct rarity in top-flight grounds these days, brilliant from everyone. We just couldn't get going, they competently spent 45 minutes not trying to do anything much. Second half, only one side was gonna win it, and it wasn't the one with so many centre-halves that you'd think Pulis believed we had Johnny X up front! They, like Palace last year, are the new Stoke. The thought that there was a chance he might've got the job at ours makes me shudder.

All credit to Villa and Sherwood yesterday ........ was this not a Villa side missing 5 first choice players against a full strength Baggies team (maybe Foster missing)

Some great performances from certain players yesterday ..... Charles for one and Lowton playing out of position ....maybe he will become first choice at left back?

Don't we think that Clark is fast becoming player of the season ....he surely now is first choice at centre back

Bring on Sunderland ........ some tough selection choices which is good

Who knows two weeks time and we will be looking upwards and to Wembley rather than a panic

I thought Lowton was poor in the first half and needlessly gave the ball away on a number of occasions.  He picked up in the second half, only to then misjudge a ball near the end and let one of their players in behind him.  I would personally go with Richardson at LB for the remainder of the season when / if he gets back to fitness.

Totally agree with you about Clark. He was dominant in the air yesterday and has really come on this season.

Lowton needs to toughen up..if he was stronger he would win more ball and lose less..the rest of his game is good

Albion release a statement..

That photo they use on there makes the main entrance look like Winson Green.

Passing through the doors is about as pleasurable in each case.

Bitter, bitter twats.

Look at that, a pile of broken seats with sharp edges, one of which appears to have hit somebody and cut his head open.  Not big enough or men enough to apologise for their fans I see.  I repeat, twats.

I was OK with Pulis coming in during December on the basis that he would get us out the mess and keep us up until a new owner comes in, then he would go. It would never have worked because the fans were split on the idea of him coming in. We all know what he brings is not attractive football but effective. Seeing the baggies twice this week makes me think I was very wrong, please forgive me, it was the stress of the last few years!

No apology from Albion for the vandalism then? Strange.

Cheers Liam, thanks for saying so. Yes could have been a different game had that first one gone in. However we are now able to change style and approach mid game and better weather pressure. It looked like you struggled to do that.
