What's this talk of Leeds? Don't remember sf s there
1980 replay (West Ham / Everton) - first one I remember.  Then 1995 (Everton / Spurs).

There have been a handful there.

A great week to be a Villa fan. I haven't been able to say that often this season.

Marvelous:

Loved the balloons and ticker tape at the start, VP looked incredible. Well done to Brigada or whoever organised it.

One of them outside was showing me his crappy flag with a sparrow on it and telling me how I'd love to sleep on it at night. I told him we already had enough toilet paper at home.

A great night ruined by these idiots.  Can see a heavy fine coming our way and no doubt calls to kick us out the competition

They were stupid and got the full strength of feeling from the rest of us in the Holte.

It hardly ruined the night.

So you don't care about the semi-final being played at Wembley, when it should be at a neutral ground?
In what way is Wembley not a neutral ground?

Over on the Albion forum they are beating up themselves, and few if any are commenting on the pitch invasion.
They had left by then

Totally agree that the semi-final should not be played at Wembley.

Who cares ......
How about the punctuation police?

who cares ......

A little common courtesy towards a fellow human please, Sunny, old chap. We're in the semi finals, you're flying to DC. Enjoy!

Don't know what pleased me most today, what a joyous day! I had great hope that, unlike the Lambert days, we would improve second half and so we did. I have witnessed players who I had given up on have great games this week. I haven't trawled through the posts today but what's the story on Benteke? Apologies if this is dealt with elsewhere.

You obviously do. So you don't care about the semi-final being played at Wembley, when it should be at a neutral ground? Odd, considering your initial post.
Far be it from me to intrude on this love-in but Wembley is a neutral ground.  But I'm with you, Villa Park & Elland Road or Hillsborough or Old Trafford.  Just like in days of yore.

It is, but that is not my point. Old Trafford, VP etc etc should be the semi-final venues.
Why?

It doesn't really matter.

If it were at Old Trafford fewer Villa fans would be going to the semi-final. Why would that be a good thing?

Because the subsequent trip to Wembley in the final would have much more meaning. You can't deny that playing the semi finals at Wembley devalues getting there.

Injured. Sore hip was what I heard before the game. Will be assessed during the week to see if he's OK for the Sunderland game
