Here's an idea for anyone planning to use the Metro from the city centre. After the game, instead of fighting the crowds to get on at Old Trafford, walk over the bridge, past the Lowry and get on at Media City.

i got the metro to panoma station , then a short walk to the ground
after the match straight on train from behind the away end with no ticket
and in city centre for half 5

The Lowry is a cracking spot to park.

I was there by 9:30 and it still only cost me £7 (after validation)
Yeah as long as you spend £5 in the shops you get 4 free hours.
