Nice one, Dave. Let's hope the turn-around starts this evening.

West Brom XI: Foster, Dawson, McAuley, Lescott, Brunt, Morrison, Yacob, Fletcher, Gardner, Ideye, Berahino.

3-5-2 for them. Delph's going to have to show a bit more than he has done for a while if tonight is going to go well.

I was reasonably optimistic that he would turn it round but that is an odd line up, especially after he said he watched all our games this season.

Where are Vlaar and Ohorugu?

Come on Villa ffs.....

By a while do you mean 'since he joined'?

It is a bit beyond me how Gabby and N'Zogbia have got into the team, whereas Gil and Sinclair miss out despite having been our only good players for a month. Perhaps Sherwood is selecting on reputation? There's no other explanation.

Oh well, let's hope Gabby has his one good game of the season tonight.

Baffled by N'Zogbia starting.
Hope he proves me wrong.

Not much cover on the bench.

Looks like Cissokho.

I see the Pulis mind games of taking the 2 strikers off supposedly injured and hobbling on Saturday has worked. Both miraculously fit tonight. Twat.

Aside from Lowton, Westwood, Cleverly, Agbonlahor and N'Zogbia it looks aboout right.

Same system as the last two matches as well, by the looks of it - Cleverley as a tucked-in wide-right player, N'Zogbia replacing Sinclair as the lonely winger on the left (or perhaps they'll switch it round). Trouble is, Stoke pummelled us in midfield and Newcastle didn't, which helped us get a bit more space to play. Tonight, it'll be another tough contest in midfield, and I can't help feel we'll get outnumbered again.

That's not a team that inspires me to anything other than despair.

Not that I'm being melodramatic or anything.
