I think Cleverley has been perfectly fine, quite positive, trying to get on with it. Delph has been really bad, Westwood has had good moments, Benteke is the best player for either side and Gabby is the worst.

Okore's fuck-up for their goal makes me think Match Fixing. How the hell did he manage to miss that?!

(I'm not actually accusing him of that, just shocked).
He's been fannying around on the ball too. He just seems determined to nonce up today.

I really can't believe Sherwood has carried on the mistakes in team selection that Lambert made - Gabby and Cleverley offer absolutely nothing. Hopefully he sees it and will change it at HT.

Lowton is an indisciplined clown. Always at that crap, under pressure now in the second half with that yellow.

Gil for Gabby is the obvious change

I'd go for that too, and tell Gil to play close to Benteke, try and play a few little one-twos. Gabby's ridiculously slow these days, he takes an age to decide what he's going to do with the ball even when there's a straightforward pass on.

Bring on Carles Gil. Playing behind Benteke he could make a massive difference for me.

Bacuna and Gil for Gabby and TC and I think we've got a shot.
yep, that's really the only thing from the bench that will offer something different for the barcodes to deal with.

Some of us need to sort our heads out. The only option we have is to fight, or we may as well forfeit all our remaining games, go home and trash our bedrooms like surly teenagers. Fight, for fuck's sake, and stick together. And then we can do all the pissing and moaning we like when our fate is sealed. But only then. We've got a war to win and if we're gonna go down, we'd better go down fighting.

The positive is that Sherwood has clearly made a difference in training this week which bodes well in the longer term. Benteke is playing which is good. Delph and Westwood have looked comfortable. Gil and Bacuna in for TC and fecking Gabby for me.

Let's hope we're both wrong in thinking that.

We need a massive performance in the second half.
