Spring Classics 2015
«
on:

They're here.
Saturday kicks off with the Omloop Het Niuewsblad, Flanders, Belgium. Ian Stannard of Sky won it last year, has to be a strong favourite for Saturday as well.
Welcome back, mud, rain, snow, cobbles and suffering.

Milan - San Remo this weekend, hopefully the weather is a little better than at Tirreno - Adriatico, not that it hindered Nairo Quintana in any way. Nails.

It's the sprinters Classic isn't it?
I wonder if Kristoff can retain his title?

Not really a sprinters classic. Sometimes they make it. Sometime not. The Poggio normally gets rid of them. This is Cavs focus. He has a strong team out. Look out for Gilbert too. Very strong team out and with the finish closer to the Poggio an attack on the hill could be crucial. Stannard and Swifty are also in with a big shout. Especially if the weather is shit.

Slightly uphill finishes sprinters, ideal for Sagan but he missed out again. Cav was a tad unlucky although I doubt he would have won. His chain come off - again - and he had to knacker himself getting back to where he needed to be and then couldn't hold on to the front group as a result. Etixx didn't have a good day as both their other options to Cav, Stybar & Kwiatkowski crashing. Sky still can't quite get it right.

Geraint Thomas wins E3 Harelbeke
A good Spring for the Brits, Stannard, Cavendish and now Thomas. With Boonen & Cancellara out of Paris-Roubaix perhaps Wiggins can add to our success.
