Have you seen Newcastle recently? They're hardly flying, according to their fans a fluke win against Hull, they're dragging their sorry corpse over the line in the knowledge that they've probably just got enough points to stay up. The season can't end soon enough for them. They've got a temp manager whose side play crap football, don't know where the goal is and their fans are pretty resigned to it all. Sound familiar?

They have like Stoke a dodgy defence that won't enjoy us running at them as let's hope Sherwood doesn't fuck up, makes sure we have a solid midfield and gets us using the ball quickly without having to hoof it. Get us playing and the points are there to bring home.

Perhaps the rozzers up there will be more laid back ?

Dudley has one High Street and that's about it, Newcastle is a much bigger city and the Police should be able to keep the EDL pretty well coralled in one area without causing too much disruption to the rest of the city.

Because we have such a terrible record at St James and because are so bad away from home at the moment anyway then I think Newcastle will win.  You have to also consider that they are going to be fired up for a response after last week.  On the other hand Sherwood's team talk should be easy, something a long the lines of "Newcastle are not out of this yet, and today is a chance not only to get some crucial points for us, but to also drag another team into the scrap.

I'll go for a 2-0 home win, but hope that they surprise me.

Exactly maybe, I am a season ticket holder and the amount of decent crosses I've seen all season you could count on the fingers of one hand. Admittedly I'm only talking a couple of games, but in them he has impressed me the most in this area. He is not a defender, so it would be a wide right midfield.

Who would you say is a better crosser then?

Trouble is he doesn't have any pace, or tricks to get the space to whip the crosses in. Also last season and this season in the few games he'd played, his crossing hasn't matched his first season.
Bacuna and Gil are both good crossers and have the pace and/or skill to get more balls in.

Lowton, and I believe Sherwood will suss this quickly, is nowhere near good enough at this level. He's powder puff. Too lightweight and a liability defensively.
