                    Benteke

Sinclair                                  Gil

           Delph(c)
                             Cleverley

                 Westwood

Cissoko                            Hutton
             Clark       Okore

                    Guzan

Subs

Given
Lowton
Gabby
Sanchez
Senderos
Grealish
Bacuna

Bacuna and possibly gabby coming on for Gil and Sinclair if they begin to fade.

Keep our shape at the back, give Gil and Sinclair freedom to run at the newcastle defence. Benteke lead the line, get in amoungst their back 4, no dropping deep to collect, into chest or feet and look to feed the widemen then LOOK for the return ball!!
Westwood break it up and pass it on to Delph or Cleverley. Delph & Cleverley if one goes forward the other stays back and stays open for the backwards pass if needed.

If you pass the ball short, MOVE and be available for the return pass.

Simple.

1-3  Sinclair, Benteke, Westwood

I'd play

I do not want to see Gil playing as deep as the last game, we have others who can do the donkey work.

Guzan has been poor lately add, Delph, Gabby, Weimann, Sanchez to the heap list, none of them should start. We have to continue with Benteke, we have no choice.

Agree with the formation, but would make a couple of changes to that team:

Guzan for Given

Clark at CB and Richardson at LB if fit

Delph for Westwood

Richardson has no return date.
Delph has been awful for the last three games, some time on the bench is needed.

Sadly yet another nail in the coffin. 3-0 defeat and Sherwood to understand he's bitten off way more than he can chew

Sounds like Newcastle will be on lockdown with the EDL in town so bars may be shut

"Lockdown"? What on earth are you talking about, man?
Well Dudley was on lockdown when the EDL pitched up the other week.
Perhaps the rozzers up there will be more laid back ?

I admit Senderos suprised me i thought he was another lemon but he was really solid for us at the back, he is just the type we need in at the moment, probably a couple of weeks away after so long out.

Yellow card for saying the "L" word twice. Please don't ever say it again.

Dudley has one High Street and that's about it, Newcastle is a much bigger city and the Police should be able to keep the EDL pretty well coralled in one area without causing too much disruption to the rest of the city.

I think you are flattering Dudley to suggest it even has something as grandiose as a High Street these days!

Only the second away game I'll have done so far this season. Hull was the first one so let's hope I'm not bad luck...

Regardless, this is day 1 of one of the biggest 7 days in recent history.

- 2 can't-lose games
- 2 Midlands Derbies
- FA Cup Quarter Final at home

Knowing Villa we could just as easily win all 3 or lose all 3.

I wonder if Sherwood realizes now that Lowton is the best crosser of a ball at the club and give him a start on Saturday wide midfield.

Does Birmingham go on "lockdown" when the twats visit? Or is the reality that apart from a small section of Broad Street you don't even know they are in town?
