I think he's a perfectly average ok left back. He most definitely isn't a left wing-back.

I'm with Legion on this one, two nil villa win.

I'm actually off up to see this one with some lads from work at the expense of a supplier we use at work from the Newcastle area so can't wait.

Anyone recommend a good bar for afterwards? Sorted pre match as we are having a hospitality package at the ground so guess that means beers and a meal/food of some sorts.

Sounds like Newcastle will be on lockdown with the EDL in town so bars may be shut

I doubt they'll close every bar in town.

Sounds ominous then, although the hotel we are staying in looks pretty decent so may just head back there for a few be vies, be nice to sample a bit of proper Geordie nightlife though.

I wouldn't be averse to Bacuna playing. He carries a goal threat, which the rest of our midfield don't. He scored five last year as a full back. Maybe him, Westwood and Delph in the midfield, with Gil close to Benteke and Sinclair floating on the flanks. It can become 433 when we defend, but Bacuna has licence to push on.

I'd play

I do not want to see Gil playing as deep as the last game, we have others who can do the donkey work.

Guzan has been poor lately add, Delph, Gabby, Weimann, Sanchez to the heap list, none of them should start. We have to continue with Benteke, we have no choice.

I quite like the look of that line-up, but would still have Guzan over Given.

Id like to see -

---------- given (c) -----------

Okore.    Clark.  Senderos. Hutton

----- Westwood ----Delph -------
-----------cleverly-----------------

Gil -------------------------Sinclair
-------------Weimann -------------

Okore right back and hutton left back? And Senderos who hasn't played for 3 months?

And we thought Lambert was clueless :-D

Agree with the formation, but would make a couple of changes to that team:

Guzan for Given

Clark at CB and Richardson at LB if fit

Delph for Westwood
