Villa fan he may be but a completly useless dad if he is going to allow his son to choose another team.

I'm not sure what is more depressing, our recent run of form or the connection to old ham face.

Cameron is a fan as he is related to William McGregor; a former Villa director and founder of the football league; there is a statue of him outside the ground.

Just in case anyone was under the illusion that he actually is a Villa Fan:

I don't have a child but if I did and took one to a Villa-Chelsea game only for them to tell me they were now a Chelsea supporter, I think that would be just about as bad as it gets. I think a course of brain washing would be in order. The Bells are Ringing on loop on a low volume while they slept perhaps.

That would probably make me support Chelsea!

He's not really a football fan is he?  He smacks me as one of these post 1996 bandwagon jumpers who links football with some kind of credibility.

Give him a break.  Politicians get enough shit (maybe rightly so) for their day job.  He has a liking for Villa & makes a few innocuous humorous comments when asked about it.  What's wrong with that?
