3-1 win (we've got to score more than 2 goals in one game at some point)
Benteke first goal scorer

Guzan
Hutton-vlaar-Clark-Aly
Sanchez-Delph
Bacuna-Gill-Gabby
Benteke

I think you've nailed the team, Vinny. I hope you're right on the result too.
After a week of nervousness I'm feeling very confident about today. As Mr E rightly points out, we have very decent team that should be no where near the relegation spots.

Win the midfield in the early stages and I think we can batter them.
That's how I'd go, with the possible exception of Sinclair in for Gabby. But I'd have one replace the other as and when needed anyhow.

On the 7. Gonna go meet Leeg and Freddy in the fun zone. I hope I'm allowed to have a go on the games in there!

What are the odds on a Delph red card?
Who's ref ?

Roger East according to this. 9 games this season so far, 36 yellow cards, no red. Yet. And strangely enough one of the linesmen's name is West.

The game's going south

The North Stand should be full.

It should be within our compass to win today.

A win would point us in the right direction.

As long as Tim tells them which way to find the goal.

Villa, you're gonna step onto that pitch today backed with more optimism and collective goodwill than we've been able to summon up for a few years now. We'll do our bit, we ask nothing more than you do yours. Play with pride and belief in yourselves, and we shall do our best to carry you. Game-face time. Let's do this.

This amount of positivity is unreal.  We could quite easily lose today (probably as a result of leaving ourselves too open IMO) so it'll be interesting to see if this mood carries on if it happens.

At the very least just look like we're attempting to win the match. We were in danger of being renamed Damage Limitation FC under Lambert.
