SSN are saying that Muniesa and Shawcross are injured and Geoff Cameron is suspended. Useful having 3 centre-backs out.

Maybe Sherwood is a lucky manager, if nothing else.

I'd go with
Guzan

Hutton
Okore
Clark
Cissokho

Westwood
Delph

Sinclair
Gil
Weimann

Benteke

I reckon Benteke will score and him and Sherwood will do one of them cringemaking salute things.

Or maybe he will crush Timahs head with his giant fucking mitt like he tried to do with Little Leandro last Sunday.

Full on lol.

This is my prediction for the team vs Stoke.
-------------------------------GUZAN------------------------------------
HUTTON---------OKORE-----------------VLAAR-------CISSOKHO------
------------------------------WESTY--------------------------------------
-----------------CLEVERLEY--------------DELPH-------------------------
----GIL---------------------------------------------------SINCLAIR-------
---------------------------BENTEKE---------------------------------------

SUBS: GREALISH, GIVEN, WEIMANN, CLARK, GABBY, SANCHEZ, BACUNA

Considering who Stoke have out this is an ideal time to play them. Reckon that midfield of midgets could be kicked around by them though.

Would like to see Sanchez and possibly Bacuna in our midfield. Big call at centre back but Okore has been at fault for a number of goals of late so should be the one to make way if Vlaar comes back in.

Given Villa's lack of physical presence in midfield, there's a case to be made for sticking Clark in there for this one

We'll win this. I think he'll go 4-4-2

Guzan
Hutton     Clark     Vlaar      Cissokho
Gil     Delph     Westwood     Sinclair
Weimann Benteke

If Benteke scores the winner I'll fucking stand up and salute if they don't. Desperate times and all that...

Benteke doesn't do salutes though does he?  His trademark is the two index fingers in the air while he looks upwards to the sky.  Therefore we'll see Sherwood jogging down the touchline with his two fingers in the air looking at the sky.  I reckon that might look quite cool in a very strange way.

Chances are they bump into each other if they are both looking to the skies! This could get messy!

Couldn't give a fuck how Benteke or Sherwood celebrate.

As long as he bangs one in the net and we win the game

I think one thing we're going to have to get used to is conceding more goals.  The one positive thing about the way our midfielders never broke forward under Lambert was that it made us compact and fairly hard to break down.

I think this'll be a 3-2 Thrilla

This is a difficult fixture and in recent games they have dominated midfield. We need a strong presence to stand in the middle of the pitch to counter this. Any of Delph, Westwood, Cleverley, Gil can't do this.
Despite Sanchez's ability to pick out an opposition player with his pinpoint, accurate passing in the Arsenal game I think he should play in this one.

Feel good factor back a bit at Villa Park for the Stoke game, I think we will win 2-1. Benteke and Andi.

Any word on Gil? It's vital that he stays fit in my opinion.
