I reckon Benteke will score and him and Sherwood will do one of them cringemaking salute things.

Ha! That's almost enough for me not to want Benteke to score. Almost.

Its a game we should target to win, but I think it will end a draw which still wouldn't be a bad result against a decent side, as long as other results go our way I won't mind a score draw too much.

1-1 Vlaar for us.

If Benteke scores the winner I'll fucking stand up and salute if they don't. Desperate times and all that...

Or maybe he will crush Timahs head with his giant fucking mitt like he tried to do with Little Leandro last Sunday.

Considering who Stoke have out this is an ideal time to play them. Reckon that midfield of midgets could be kicked around by them though.

Would like to see Sanchez and possibly Bacuna in our midfield. Big call at centre back but Okore has been at fault for a number of goals of late so should be the one to make way if Vlaar comes back in.

I agree and I thought Sanchez was playing quite well before being dropped anyway.   Think as the holding midfielder he has been made a scapegoat for the fact that the midfield hasn't been scoring when he has been doing his job quite well.

I'd like to see Sanchez back in on Saturday, he was poor against Arsenal but wasn't the only one. Would add a lot more presence too.

I am at the point now where if we score I kiss total strangers (regardless of their sex), cry, thank God and ask my wife if we can have another child and name it after the goalscorer. I do a little wee of excitement in my pants too.

New manager effect and all that but I feel more positive about this game than I have for a Villa game in ages.

It'll probably last until about 10 minutes past three on Saturday in true Aston Villa style.

Win lose or draw

I have the buzz back and cannot wait to see us play, as more than anything we will have some guts and fight - the life was sucked out of me watching that turgid shit this season and going to VP became a real chore

Getting off to a good start is important and hopefully the thought of what happened in this fixture last year will mean we keep it up through the game!
