It was worse 9 months later when we lost at goodsion 5 nil. That same evening I had my first driving lesson. The bloody useless stuff I remember

That was the night before I started Comprehensive school. My mum found me sitting on my bed with my head in my hands and gave me a pep talk about not being worried about moving to a new school. I looked at her and replied, "I don't care about that, Villa have just lost 5-0"!

I went to that disastrous game and stood in their end with an Everton fan mate. I prefer to recall the game at Goodison the year before when Tony Morley scored the goal of the season.
