£20-30 for FA Cup q-final seems reasonable to me

Especially when you compare that to my Man Utd supporting mate who had to pay £37.00 for Cambridge at home.

If he didn't go, then his season ticket was going to be blocked for the following game.  Absolutely sickening.
Can they do that?? if so, that is fucking outrageous.
That is mind blowingly bad !! I always knew they were a wankhouse of a club but that is off the scale !!
surely a season ticket is a fucking season ticket? What a disgrace if true.

I think it is true. It was reported in The Mail a month or two back. It's just appalling.

And what if you're ill and can't get up from Cornwall?  Do you have to supply a doctor's note?

If you've paid up front for 19 games, you should get to see 19 games regardless of what cup games you miss. It's as simple as that really.

Presumably it's made clear in the terms and conditions when you buy, what the score is.

Often wondered with the number of members /ST holders they have how cup final tickets are issued. Must be a ballot or something.

Much as we hate them, I do feel a grain of sympathy for a supporter of any club that buys a season ticket then has to miss a league game if they miss an FA cup match. That really does suck.

I honestly and truly can't get my head around why a fan of another team would take the time to join up just to have a go? It's so very childish. He must be about 13, or totally and utterly obsessed.

I think you are close without quite hitting the nail on the head. Try IQ of 13 and totally and utterly obsessed.

On the subject of tickets

Last thursday we could buy our own seats providing you've attended all the previous FA cup games and i persume other seats too? If not whats the point in restricting the first day's sale's when as season ticket holders we have until tuesday to claim our seats anyway, regardless if you've been to the cup games or not?

I only ask because i was passing near the ground on thursday afternoon and went to buy my season ticket seat (and only my seat) but told i can't because i'd only attended two cup games.

Not occurred to me before, that is a little bit mental. It achieves nothing. Maybe just to spread out the queue, as it were.
And no, you can't buy other tickets. Strictly one per qualifying reference number. I've tried.

I assume it's just to stagger sales to make it easier to deal with everyone. If we have, say, 20K ST holders, it's a lot easier to deal with them over a week than potentially have them all booking online or calling on the same day.

Thats what i kinda thought, i just assumed if you'd been to all the the cup games you had first dips for other tickets which seamed fair enough. Still mental i coundn't buy my seat because the piece of paper says no ???

With the ticket office phones not working on Saturday morning and the online booking site being about as much use as a chocolate teapot I ended up going into the ticket office to sort my tickets for this one.

Brigada 1874 will be having a section again, we've had to move from the usual cup spot at the back of L7 though as ST holders in that area will probably reserve their seats for this one. Instead we'll be at the front of L7 if anyone wants to get involved.
