I don't think that's a huge surprise. They're a commercial operation, they're going to go for whatever will pull in the most viewers and what they can sell the most advertising space for.

Any game with Liverpool involved is going to be picked over Villa/WBA. Had the BBC picked Liverpool/Blackburn over our match then there would be reason to complain because that's not supposed to be their remit (and why Bradford could feel understandably aggrieved last round).

Liverpool v Blackburn doesn't sound too appealing to me to be honest and I'm not too sure it's hugely appealing to neutrals in general.  If Liverpool were the away side it would be a slightly different story.

I think Reading will do Bradford.

I hope so.
Getting very pi**ed with their "the whole nation wants to watch us 'cos we're small/cute/underdogs"

Yep, the sense of entitlement is puke inducing. Just shut the f*ck up and get on with it. Believe it or not some us actually don't want to watch you.

It's the team they probably wanted, too.
Reading will go into the game as underdogs, so the pressure of expecting to win falls on Bradford's shoulders.

To be fair would have preferred watching their game v Sunderland than Man U again, think every cup game of Man U has been televised since the 90s.

I read it was something like only 5 of their cup ties in the last 15 years hand not been televised, something like that any way, ridiculous having those ****** funded even more by the TV companies.

The relationship between the media and M. United is, in a sporting ethics sense, completely unjustifiable.  BT Sport and Sky must have it in their business plans to keep MU and, to a certain extent, Liverpool constantly on the box.  The problem is this creates a vicious circle of more plastic fans being accumulated by both clubs, which in turn means both will remain on the box, which in turn means both can charge top dollar for sponsorships...  It's financial doping in another form.

Why other clubs allow this to happen without a protest or whimper is beyond me.  The media should be doing everything in their power to ensure they don't harm the sporting integrity of the game not acting as cheerleaders and golden teets for chosen clubs.  For me, it seems a rotten state of affairs.

I can understand Sky liking Manure, but why do the BBC and ITV love them so much when they helped Sky to become dominant?
