Well, the second half was a lot better and if he had a word then it had an effect. We moved a lot better and created some chances. A million miles to go off course, but nice to be in the FA Cup QF. Worried about Benteke, but there were some glimpses of a recovery there. A little unlucky with his offside goal in the first half. Still onwards and upwards as they say.

Life after lambert, nice to win at first attempt, we'd have lost that under him. Much better second half, passion and bit of quality at times. Pity we can't see a game out without usual late goal but still a good start. Mr Sherwood, work your magic.

Second half was the Tim effect after his half time talk

Loved Sherwoods reaction with the goals, some real passion

Onwards and upwards. Beat the boggies in the 6th round to get to Wembley

Feeling a bit of hope now

Tim Sherwood's celebrations for each goal was great - he genuinely looked over the moon! That was nice to see...
Second half was really enjoyable, I thought.

Anything he said was the obvious things that had been missed by the previous incumbent and the coaching staff and was so obvious that even Pearce and Savage were stating it. Don't fanny about on the ball in the defensive and midfield thirds. Be direct and have midfield runners. Look forward sometimes.

A truly awful match in the first half, we were much better in the second, and - lo and behold - we start finally getting midfielders into the box occasionally, and find football is a lot easier that way.

Big up Shay Given, too, that first half save was absolutely world class.

I also thought Cleverley did well in the second half.

The way I see it, Hull and Leicester are as bad as, if not worse than, us. We shouldn't be anywhere near poking about the arse end of the table with teams like those, and we certainly shouldn't be losing to them.

Hopefully the confidence from that win will carry on to the league. It can only help.

Sherwood's words at HT must have made a difference which bodes well.

Was it the 'Sherwood Effect' half time talk that changed it around?
