Obviously I want survival this season,  and hopefully then we can build in the years to come.  Most of all though, I just want to see some good football and a few goals.  Hopefully Sherwood can also instill some passion and determination into the group.

Score forty goals, win 11 out of his last thirteen and the FA Cup. Anything less will be a failure.

The first thing I expect him to do his to show the team the goal his scored from about 35 yards in the top corner in front of the Holte. It was a cracker to be fair.

Many of the posters here seem to assume that he learned nothing from his stint as Spurrrrrrrrs' first team coach ....
Since he has been lauded for his youth development work and seems to be well-regarded as a coach, I'm going assume some positives: that he did learn from his time in the 'top job'.
Having said that, I wonder who will come in on his coaching staff; that will be really key.
Also, if Fox is still entertaining the idea of a DoF, that appointment will also influence Sherwood's impact on us.

In the short-term, he will get us playing more directly and more purposefully. This should - barring further injury - deliver us the requisite points as long as the defence is not ignored. I say this from the evidence in Lambert's first year and the period when GMac was in charge: at both those times, we were more attack-minded and it seemed to get us the necesssary get-out-of-jail cards.

Relegation, and sacked in the summer.

Hopefully I'm wrong. But I can see both QPR and Hull doing ok-ish from now until the end of the season. I fear an increased tactical naivety and resulting heavy defeats that will destroy our confidence.

On the other side, playing a more open game may, with some luck, help us win those winnable home games we have, and that should be enough to keep us up.

The inevitable signing of Emmanuel Adebayor next summer.

Nothing less than winning the FA Cup final and Premiership survival.

Or maybe I should aim low and except relegation this seasons followed by World domination for years to follow.
