Funny can't remember Cleverly having more than 4-5 good games for us.

Out of 30 or so that is piss poor

I am still grateful for those handful of games though. I would argue he played those like he gave more of a shit than our own players.

I think the Swansea result either sees the end of Sherwood or buys him a little more time.
What exactly are the other outcomes?

I really believed he'd be gone by now and one of the back room staff would caretaker until another is lined up.

Thing is, if Sherwood is fired then his whole backroom needs to go too - they are just as culpable as he is. Maybe K-Mac or Sid could step in temporarily if needed. Even Doris the tea-lady would be preferable.

Certainly Wilkins would be done. I guess his record at Fulham stacks up more than that at Chelsea right now as a number 2. I thought he would be a wise head for Sherwood to use, but just not happening between the 2.

I like the keeper coach on the touch line, but Guzan has been woeful and not shown signs of improvement so that would not be a huge loss and Mark Robson is not exactly a coach steeped in top clubs before him.

As such, I would not mind the board taking an approach to getting in some technically sound tactically astute backroom staff in too, that could work with a manager who knows how to use them.

I know it is too soon for him, and he has no relevant experience, but I reckon Mark Warbutton will make a decent premier league manager in the next few years.

My suspicion is he'll try yet another new formation, or alternatively he will persist with one of the previous ones that haven't worked.

Well, based on the footage and report on the Grauniad website, where he admits he's still looking for the right mix, it probably will be another experimental line-up. One reason I probably won't travel.

On Central tonight I thought he looked resigned to losing his job.

"Still trying to find the right formula ..."

that's what I don't get. He came to the club with a very clear plan and got the team to execute on it very quickly. Yet give him the entire summer and he has no idea what he's doing. I honestly thought the extra time would allow him the opportunity to nail down his plans and vision so to speak, yet it has done the exact opposite.

So is it the formula or the players? Maybe he didn't want the formulas he was given in the summer, he wanted other formulas with Premier League experience.

That's what ive been thinking too, is he coming up with this formula crap to show that these aren't his players ? Funny how he never mentioned this in pre season or at the very beginning of the season. In each press conference after the signings I remember him talking them up highly, funny how he doesn't mention that now, effing chancer, that's all he is.
