I think Dave's description of Sherwood as "slightly dopey" encapsulates his failings perfectly. He is like the kid who, given a box of Lego which makes a horse throws the horse picture away and clumps together his own scary monster. He just cannot make the connection between the picture on the box and the pieces it contains."He" has brought in some cracking players but does not have the vision, brain or imagination to form them into a team.I agree with everything that has been said about his plunge in popularity being due to his predecessors being given far too much time and patience but Sherwood is personally falling short of expectations. Usually the cocky, brash, self confident Thames estuary man has ability under the shell of self promotion. Even Arthur Daley, Derek Trotter and Boris Johnson have the cat like ability always to land on their feet. Sherwood seems to be the exception to the rule and lands on his head. Scratch the surface of Tim Sherwood and underneath there is only the scary monster maker.
This was always going to happen. In the situation we were in, Timah was a saviour but it was obvious there would be a price to be paid down the line. He is as dumb as a bag of spanners. This is not with the benefit of hindsight either - check out posts early in the thread.By the same logic, I was in favour of Fat Sam this time, purely in order to survive in the PL. In other circumstances, I would not want TS or BFS anywhere near our club, but this is where we are.
He is still our manager. He warrants respect till that changes. The stuff on here shows how 'fickle' some are. I'm shocked, I rarely read this site now. Please don't speak for me when you call him a 'gobshite'.

I don't want to stay up, I want to progress into a club with some stability.
We played very well for two months under him.As much as he looks clueless now I'm disappointed that is being airbrushed off as a fluke period. We were outstanding obviously v Liverpool but we had two good games v WBA in a high pressure situation, we won very well at Sunderland, we won for the first time in ages at White Hart Lane in another excellent display and were very good at home to Everton aswell, a team who've been taking the mick at VP in recent years. Now the more I look at it the battering we got out of the blue at Southampton seems to have fcuked the mindset of him and the team as the following week we were very poor at home to Burnley. Most thought we were just saving ourseleves for the cup final...the first five minutes of that showed otherwise. It's disappointing but there were some promising aspects in his reign early on...he at least got us on the front foot playing with tempo and quality. Shame it couldn't last.

Along with saying how boring they are to watch, he also said they're glad to be rid of Lescott as he's past it now and making too many mistakes. Regarding Sherwood, he just seems to have fallen apart. He didn't look the incapable manager he had been portrayed to be, with maybe the exception of the last 2 or 3 games. There's no need to distort what happened last season to make it fit a biased opinion when what's happening at the moment show clearly shows that he's no longer up to the task. Anyone else notice how much time in the last few games he has spent sat on his arse?I always think you can deduce a lot from a manager's body language. In his last month or two, Lambert just sat there looking ashen faced and utterly immobilised, like he had passed away and someone was projecting a film of a living Lambert onto his face.MON also did similar in that pre-season match before he flounced out, sat in the stands in his suit looking like an accountant passed over for promotion.Sherwood recently has looked the same. Mostly sat on his arse, springing up every now and then to make a serious of surely meaningless, indecipherable hand gestures like he's weaving an invisible blanket or something.
