Well in terms of personnel we look better than we have in recent years, likes of Richards and Lescott are proven winning premier league players.

As a club though we just can't win consistantly at premier league level anymore nor is their a belief that we can...until everyone starts panicking around March we're about to go down and suddenly a winning run is magically strung together.

give hime another six games. Even if it doesn't work out this season, it has been one hell of a success. When Lambert was in charge, the only place we were going was down. Timmy's pumped up adrenalin rescued us and we should be forever indebted to him for that. He saved us! I thank him for that! Let's give him another half a dozen or so games. If it doesn't look good, Moyes please..

Christmas seems about right time to judge him in my opinion.

What annoys me so much is the fact that the whole scouting/coaching/infrastructure will be ripped out the club again when the new man comes in.  If we had some sort of structure in place the constant changing of managers would have less impact as there would be some sort of blueprint/continuity to what we do.  Didn't Watford have three managers last season?

I can actually claim to have been pissed off when we went for Sherwood.  It smacked of desperation and not having done any homework on who else might have been available.  Fox and co took a gamble bringing in such an inexperienced manager.  It worked in keeping us up but that is beginning to look like a slightly delayed new manager bounce.   His inexperience is really letting us down now, and it's no great surprise to be honest. You can also clearly see some of the traits of his failed predecessors - stubbornness, shoehorning certain players in, incomprehensible substitutions, poor to disastrous in-game influence, failure to see the blindingly obvious (like it was his tactics that threw the Leicester game away),  inability to organise a defence, failure to address our piss poor set piece delivery.  We've seen it all before to various degrees under O'Neill, McLeish and Lambert.  As if that lot isn't bad enough he also seems to have turned us into one of the least fit teams in the league.  He's either got to learn fast or sod off.

At least in his post match interviews this week he did manage to string together some coherent sentences for the BBC, which is good. Apparently we're a team in transition, he knew we might struggle at first, but he knows what the problem is, he's looked into the players eyes and he can see that they're still with him.

That is also quite good, lets hope he's right, he did keep us up last year, and I'd like him to succeed. I just think he's full of shit, and doesn't really know what the fuck he's doing, unfortunately.

Ha ha ha, that made me laugh. Excellent stuff.

Sadly, though, I think I agree with you.

The cracks are starting to show for me but we're clearly a team lacking fitness and struggling with injuries to some of our better players...we can only hope that the fitness improves and TS find a winning formula once we have a fully fit squad.

TS also needs the January transfer window regardless of results between now and Christmas because we have clearly failed to address the loss of Benteke properly...

Gabby: we all know he's clearly not good enough
Gestede: Championship level at best
Kozak: not been given a chance due to injury or not being good enough
Ayew: looks like a waste of money

TS signed 13 players in the summer...4 started today (if you count Sinclair) and 2 were brought on in the second half. We're still very short of quality up front (seriously how are we meant to score when they all stand still like statues with no movement or making incisive runs?!) and look completely clueless in midfield without Gueye. We're still 3 or 4 players short of being a mid table team unfortunately.

Yes, a cockney version of Di Canio. Imapct manager. I said he would be gone by November before the season started, nothing on the pitch I have seen so far has changed my mind, please prove me wrong Tim. As someone mentioned, it's a shame as the squad looks as good as it has been in years.

Give what happened last year I think Fox will wait until we're almost relegated before pulling the trigger so for November read March/April.
