He's only been in the bloody job 5 minutes. You were all jizzing over him last season when we beat them twice...

Birmingham must breed the most miserable people in the UK. Plenty of beautiful women there....feel sorry for your wives.

Not an excuse though is it. If he thinks a he's good enough to be at this level then he needs to prove that. Somehow Ranieri has walked into Leicester and made the job look a piece of piss. Even Pardew at Palace relative to their resources. Look at how we'll Monk has done. Even the bloke Flores at Watford.
And at some point they will all fail, lose a number of games on the trot and struggle. It happens and we're going through it now, partly because we lost a beast of a forward and a decent midfielder. Replacing them as well as other that needed replacing is bloody tough going, but for me the season has just started, mid September and plenty of whining " I heart Sky" so called supporters are throwing their rattles out of their prams and crying already.

He isn't going to get sacked, he's learning his trade, we're going to have some crap and we're going to experience some good moments. Pretending you're all geniuses on here is fucking laughable, let him crack on...rather be here than in Sunderlands or Newcastles shoes. It will come good once the news lads bed in.

No patience these days.

Give the "so called fans" bollocks a rest will you. You're the " fan" who wanted to bring a Man U mate in the Villa end? It's no surprise you don't get how a lot of Villa fans feel

We appointed a guy with no real experience apart from a 6 month caretaker role, he has achieved nothing in the game as a manager, had no pedigree whatsoever, so why would anyone be surprised he is shit?

Thing is, I never normally want a manager out after half a dozen games, but it's because of the blatant lack of managerial expertise that Sherwood has that I would be happy if he went. It'll end in tears eventually so do it sooner rather than later

That's exactly my line of thinking.

I gave Lambert two years before even thinking he might deserve the sack. I gave McLeish longer than most, and I would have kept Houllier on had he not been forced to quit

With Sherwood, though, it just looked destined to end in tears from the start. I just don't know if i can face sitting through a season or two more of this crap.

As for "he's learning his trade" - he's managing a top flight football club. This isn't a place for anyone to learn their trade.

Totally agree Canada.

Tuscans what have you seen so far that proves otherwise?
What have I seen....I've seen 30 years of football to say give managers a chance. Moyes at Everton, Ferguson at Utd, O'Neil at Leicester....just 3 that spring to mind, all young and upcoming who went through shit and come back better for it.

I'm saying the back 4 is relatively brand new, the majority of players are young, inexperienced of the game here, learning the language and settling. I think it will take one game, maybe Tuesday nights to kick start a season. Its just way too early to start making knee jerk reactions.

Of course come December and things haven't changed then maybe you do look at other options....but it's just such a shit job because you can't please Villa fans.

Learning his trade! We've been unremittingly awful now for about five years. We can't afford to have a YTS running our club! We're shit and we need someone who knows how to win a game of football in this league, sharpish.

but it's just such a shit job because you can't please Villa fans.

What on earth does that even mean?

How many sets of fans do you think would be reacting any differently to the years and years of dog shit we've been served up? We've won 20 home league games in four years. In four years plus the six games of this season, in fact.

You can please Villa fans - by winning matches.

It is also not just about results, it is about the way he's gone about getting some of them, tactical cluelessness like last week, for example.

I didn't want him to start with, but since he's here, it would seem unfair to give him the bullet now. It is still early days in his career, relatively speaking.

But he needs to do something to show that we're moving in the right direction.

So nothing specific about sherwood's abilities at all, then? Great, let's just hope he somehow turns into the next ferguson.

Also, I'd quit the abuse of other posters if you want to remain posting on here.

I hate the fact that even if we beat Blues convincingly on Tuesday, that'll be enough to convince most we're on the right track. It's a derby, against a team with no players you've ever heard of, which will probably be coronary inducing. It bears no relation to how we'll go into the Liverpool game and beyond.

What would convince me to realise I was too trigger-happy would be a game where we're in it, during both halves, where we look like we can score and we don't look like we've just introduced our back four. It would be a vast improvement if we played like a Premier League team for ninety minutes. I've been waiting for that since the end of the infamous Stoke game and I can't see it happening under Sherwood.

Why are you totally avoiding the question?
