Taking risk in substitutes is ok when you are trying to overcome a losing position to turn into winning position but not when you are defending  2-0 lead.

If we lose to the Baggies and the Blues he will be having his collar felt.

With Big Sam in attendance?
David Moyes for me, got a very raw deal with the mancs and he will have a point to prove.

I fully support the Club in buying an almost new team but I think he will resign if we lose the next two games being the emotional character he is.

He has made another mistake. I still support him because I rather like his style of play. He has made life hard for himself and all of us though. Learn and move on Tim.

No way would he resign even if we did lose the next two.

Anyway, that won't be happening. Sandwell will be smashed and Small Heath will get the sort of beating that annoying seven-fingered neighbours deserve.

Sunday was the first time for a long while that I really got pissed off with Villa. To give away a 2-0 lead was so annoying, after an excellent first half.
The loss was entirely down to poor decision-making by the manager.
Rather than the optimism that this new season deserves, we are in a rearguard-action mode. I hope that TS has learned plenty from the games we've played this season and reflects this in the next few. Otherwise, we are back where we started: fighting relegation and with players that are playing well below their capability.

Do managers resign these days? Who was the last PL manager to resign?

He's basically a football version of Jeremy Corbyn.

Makes things interesting, if a bit chaotic and baffling at times, nobody expected him to get the job, nobody really knows how long he'll be around, could lead to something really different but could also collapse in acrimony at any point in time.

I have huge concerns about Sherwood too as has already been discussed by many in this thread.

I was also concerned too by the interviews he gave after the game. He is not just the manager but also the leader and we saw no leadership skills in those interviews.

Compare them to Ron Saunders. I'm sure Saunders felt bad after the Ipswich game but in his press conference he said "Do you want to bet against us" He mataphorically stood tall and threw his shoulders back and backed his team - as a leader should - and must have given his players confidence.

Sherwood was the polar opposite - slouched and quiet - and blamed his players for making stupid mistakes. Not a good message to give out especially after Grealish ran straight to him after his goal and most of the players were around him for a "long" time after the second goal. The players clearly showed during the game their loyalty and support to him - he now needs to learn how to be a leader and not just a coach/manager.

No it wasn't.  It had a big influence on the result as it turned out but what if the players had not made the mistakes leading to the goals.
