Do we wait till we are adrift at the bottom or do something before that?

That's a worst-case scenario, but I hope that if things start to look sketchy that we don't just drift along waiting for it to improve for no other reason that he doesn't complain.

Rewind to the last three games of last season  and the six so far and it is indeed worrying, why do we have to watch our opponents have experienced managers at the helm make game changing substitutions and we compound things with the wrong subs ourselves?

I thought it was a mistake appointing him. He did well to galvanise us and keep us up last season (even if we did finish 17th) and I like most of his signings.

Tactically, though, he is unfathomable.

If he learns from his mistakes, fine, but so far he just keeps repeating them. What's more, if you read what Spurs fans said about him, these are the exact things they criticised him for, too.

He just comes across to me as a chancer - talks a great game but doesn't deliver them. It's great having a good 45 minutes but what's the point when you do what we did today? Or against Palace?

Still, he'll get time, we know from recent history you can get away with delivering crap at this club for a long while before getting sacked.

That is exactly what we will do.

Adebayor released by Tottenham. Villa bound? We could do with him.

It's funny we seem to get one area of the pitch right - the creativity and actually goal scoring only for the defence to turn to shit again.

I thought the defence itself was good for an hour. The full backs buckled a bit. But the big problem was solidity in midfield today. They were just running through us repeatedly

I know I've made the point several times but it's just mindless what he did today.

That's a fair point Matt, Sir Brian said exactly the same on radio commentary today he also said whilst he agreed Gil needed to come off he would not have bought Ayew on.  He also chastised Bacuna for getting involved with Vardy and losing concentration for their first.

If we're going to criticise him for his subs and tactical fuck ups today, then also give him credit for his team controlling and dominating the first half with some excellent football. Very frustrating that we didn't get anything out the game when we're 2-0 up with 20 minutes to go...he needs to admit his mistakes and learn from them if we're going to progress.

I agree. He's clearly got a lot of qualities and his team selection today was fully justified. As was keeping four attacking players on the pitch , when Gil scored. He's an excellent motivator and the players like him. I'd take him over lambert all day

But he has cost us six points in the last three games with bad subs (although that's a harsh view on the Sunderland game). Needs to learn from it. I'm not sure he is.

Still, we're a very new team and I did expect a sticky start

I'd still take this over the shit we were serving up under lambert.

He needs time.  He has bought in what, 11 players, and it's going to take time to know what his best team is.  He hasn't been helped by injuries either.  Very bad end to last year but he got us over the line and deserves a chance at turning this club around. Way too soon to be getting on his back in my view.  I actually prefer his press con attitude to Lamberts who would have spouted some shite about "we go again".  You can guarantee the players will have been given a serious rollicking after today's capitulation.

I agree bad subs today but the players are more to blame for me.  A number of them have been making the same basic and costly errors for the last 5 years, regardless of manager, and it just rubs off on the new ones.

It's frustrating seeing Sanchez get MOM against Brazil and then get bossed by a Leicester midfield.  We could do with bringing a shrink in to sort the players heads out.
