I know things were super grim under Lambert, but I still don't understand how anyone can possibly have wanted Allardyce in

Watching the match today, seeing that horrific Allardyce - Nolan axis of grimness, that horrible, horrible industrial football, how fucking horrible - that "stand in front of the keeper and harass him" tactic that Nolan got pulled up for is something Allardyce has had his teams do for years now, it isn't just something that happened today.

If he hasn't got the option of the long ball at Carroll to knock down for Nolan, West Ham haven't got a fucking clue.

God knows Villa have disappointed and alienated me plenty in my lifetime, but nothing like as much as they would if we'd ever appointed that absolute fucking horrible relic as our manager.

See also Tony Pulis.

We should be well above that sort of shit.

I agree 99%. However, I did watch West ham a few times earlier in the season and they were really attractive to watch with their two front men (not carroll) and Downing playing really well. However, since it became clear Allardyce wouldn't be retained at the end of the season he has reverted to type and their form has suffered. Nolan doesnt play regularly for them and yesterday proved why.

Have to say back in Feb, I would have taken anyone to get rid of Lambert

Out of the frying pan, and into the fucking fire, eh? Getting a bit warm, now,

Burn, baby, burn!
Sherwood inferno!

It's getting hot in here,
So take off your gilet!
I am
Getting so hot
I wanna take Tim's clothes off!

The second one  ;D

I like the idea of a banner thanking Sherwood for bringing the pride back to the pride of the midlands.

Me too. And also his team around him, they've performed a miracle to bring this club back to life after Lambert had virtually strangled it to death.

Sherwood is a magician, a wizard, possibly Radagast in the Hobbit running around and saving the club (as he did the hedgehog) from certain death

Condolences to Tony Parks and his family. No parent should ever have to lose a son or daughter

Was West Ham's football really that bad yesterday? I think they've been on the beach for a while now, but they seemed to be trying to build through the middle or get it out wide to that turd Downing.  Whatever, we were superb again and Sherwood continues to be a revelation.

It was a brilliant day all round. Took my daughter to her second game and my son his first, and they had a fantastic time. And fair play to the club, it was a quid each for their tickets and they had a voucher to buy a shirt for a tenner. So my son saw a win, a full crowd, and wore his shirt with pride for the princely sum of £11. He slept in his top last night and is now a fan for life.

I haven't been this happy watching the Villa for years, which is a remarkable turnaround in a few weeks.

Getting pleasure from it in recent weeks has been something of a revelation. Actually enjoying it, I mean.

I've started watching MOTD and reading sports supplements again, too.

I pitched the idea to the group MOMS said on Facebook and they said they'd discuss it.

The only thing is I'm struggling to rid myself of that Pavlovian sense of dread.

We need to draw against Soton week and then lose to Burnleh.

We can't be going into the FA Cup final on the back of four wins in a row.

A draw at Southampton and smash 6 past Burnley then. Job done, and no 4 game winning streak.
