I honestly think he'll get this team firing. These players have had it too easy for too long, being protected by a very generous manager. Sherwood ain't that guy, stick it to this bunch and get them performing at an appropriate level.

I don't mind the appointment at all. Best of luck Tim.

Spot on!  I believe that this will be a very good appointment - no experienced manager would  guarantee success, here we have a hungry young manager who will kick a few backsides and if he can get somebody like Adebayor to perform then maybe he can get Gabby and Benteke to perform as well. He won't take any shit from the players. He was also responsible for bringing along the likes of Harry Kane at Spurs - maybe he'll sign him in the summer!!

I was right - as usual!

It's his incredible enthusiasm that makes him really likeable. He always seems upbeat and he celebrates like a fan. He's done an excellent job so far in turning a team destined for relegation to one that looks like they'll survive and possibly win the cup. Let's hope he finishes the job, but he's brought the enjoyment of the game back for me and for that I'm thankful.

The thing with Tim is that he genuinely seems to love his job, he has no affinity with Aston Villa but he acts like he's been a lifelong fan and he's just landed his dream job of managing his boyhood heroes.
I love his enthusiasm, I love the way he reacts to every goal, I reckon I have a bit of man-love for him to be honest!

I am with you Dave. Think if he is manager of your club, he is the type you can't help loving. I can see how opposition fans would hate him mind!

good, I'm glad he rubs others the wrong way just as other managers have royally pissed us off as we are left to ponder yet another defeat. And quite frankly Sherwood has been immensely gracious in victory, so fans of Spurs and now Liverpool have little to complain about. Both sides were beaten fair and square and very much by the better team in both cases. We've been nice for way, way too long. I love how this plan is coming together.

So from a full season, 38 games, that's 62 points. I could live with that next season.

Probably be good enough for 7th/8th.

6th or 7th most seasons pretty much every season.

Those stats for Sherwood do include cup games.

It would actually equal our best points tally under MON I think.

If one of them was the FA Cup Final, I'd take 3 wins and 3 losses for the rest of this season.
