He's making me smile about the Villa for the first time since 2011. I don't care what he's saying about anything else.

If he keeps us up and wins us the FA Cup I won't care if he eats roast puppy in a baby's tears sauce for every meal, let alone care what he's saying about anything else.

There are no humble managers. They all have huge egos.

This is true, everyone talks about top managers' arrogance like Mourinho and Ferguson. But for me the likes of Pulis and Allardyce are very arrogant too, I read an article the other week where Allardyce said 'there is no one more sophisticated than me'.

He was probably talking about himself with regards to his mates in Dudley.

That's the second Blackcountryist joke on H and V today. Some of us will be getting a complex.

The fact that his shoes have laces probably sets him up as some kind of demi-god.

That is your third.

Now that I do agree with.

This forensic dissection of Sherwood is not H and V at it's most stimulating. Like DW says the pudding tastes fine to me.

I think if we went on a winning streak until the end of the season to finish mid-table and win the cup, there would still be someone not happy about something. It just seems to be our way. At least it shows that we're not fickle.

We had some questionning TS putting on a 16 year old for his debut when we were 4-0 up during our best performance in 2 years.
We do on occasion try to read a little too much into what a manager has said or might do.
Still, at least we're not up in the clouds enjoying the smell of our own flatulance like some sets of fans.

I watched 'bridge over the river Kwai' again a few days ago

The bit where Alec Guiness gets released from the hot house and all the POW's run out cheering and chair lifting him in the air
The Japanese commander is in his office recoiling in pain and agony about losing face and utter humiliation

This is how I imagine Lambert when the 4 goal went in last Saturday

I do wonder about Lambert at the moment. Seriously. What is he thinking watching a breath of fresh air coming in and seeing these previously hamstrung group playing with freedom. Does he feel cheated? Does he realise that he was getting too far into the wood to see the trees around him?
