True but as refreshing and great as it is the 4 wins are - WBA twice (8th from bottom), Sunderland (5th from bottom) and Leicester (rock bottom).

You can only beat what's in front of you. You get the same points for beating a side in 20th place as for beating the side who are 1st.

I was all for sherwood being appointed before Lambert was sacked.  He's said a few daft things.  But there is no doubt whatsoever in my mind we would have been relegated if lambert had stayed.  He hasn't just bought in manager bounce.  He's bought in some tactical know how and basically got these players believing in themselves and each other.  And that it's okay to score a goal.  Look at that attacking line up today.  That told me he was saying 'we are going to win this, we're your problem.'  Imagine today under lambert. Dour defensive crap designed to achieve a 0-0.  We've still got a hell of a battle but he's given us a chance.

Lambert went out not to lose a game and failed miserably, Sherwood sets up his team to win the game. Have to say I was surprised with his selection today, but he knew Sunderland were in the doldrums and went for the jugular. The players have obviously taken his attitude on board and are loving it. We have possibly the best old style centre forward in the league yet we played negative football
