He must be very confident that the FA won't use that punishment.

He seems to be doing an OK job so far, and he seems likeable in many ways, but let's be totally honest, he probably says a lot more than he should at times.

Given that they've never used it before, I'd say that was a fair bet.

I'd very much rather TS didn't announce to the media that we'd be happy to have the QF replayed in the unlikely event the FA ever made that most ridiculous decision...it only serves to fuel the media circus surrounding the pitch invasion to push the FA to enforce a replay.

Where and when was this?
Its currently being repeated as the headline to his pre-match press conference.

Pete Colley asking the questions and stirring the shit instead of talking about football matters.

Our new media bloke is starting to worry me. Have we defended ourselves at all this week?

Well you are right Colley was stirring the shit with his questions, but to be fair Sherwood is the one who volunteered the notion of a replay. Right after he said it you saw his chirpy grin drop a little as he thought to himself "well that was a daft thing to say".

Plus I think something was said about a replay of the game not being on the cards because the media were very confidently ruling out the possibility as early as Monday.

Coming from Glasgow he probably didn't see what all the fuss was about. It was the average Saturday evening for him.

I think Sherwood was just confident that we'd give the trolls from down the road a third straight kicking. He knew full well there would never be replay because what happened had absolutely no bearing on the result. And if they did force a replay think of the precedent it would set for all future pitch invasions. The FA don't want that. We'll get a fine and stern talking to.

A replay of the game would open the floodgates to pitch invasions all the time. I continue to be amazed at how unbelievably over the top the media coverage of the pitch invasion has been. Why is it that so many people want to portray Villa in the worst possible light? It is almost as though we are some part of Britain's colonial past that has to be excised like ISIS are doing bulldozing pre Islamic monuments. I overheard two Leicester fans talking about the game and if you did not know the truth first hand you would believe that there had been a full blown riot at the game.

Yes.  Who coaches the coach in such matters?  The media bloke presumably.

He is very John Gregory like with the press, full of himself and says bloody stupid things, that while are a nice sound bite and give good stories, are totally unnecessary.
