Better than scribbling in a notepad.

I don't have sky, is that normal for the manager to be up in the studio/box shortly after the match?

it wasn't on Sky

Whichever channel it was on, is it now a regular thing?

If not, I'm undecided whether he's a publicity whore or valiantly raising the profile of the club.  If it continues, I'd imagine my view will change depending on whether we have won or not.

He could just be someone who was asked to come up and talk to them after the game and he said yes. Also, I think managers are usually committed to doing post-match interviews so I don't see the issue. Just means rather than doing it in the media room, he went upstairs and saw some familiar faces like Petrov who was also in the box that BT had taken over.

it starts with him removing a framed picture of our 6-1 thrashing of Sunderland which he says celebrating that is embaressing for a club our size

Yeah I loved that.
In fact much of what he said in that article was fantastic to hear and a world away from the nature of our last two managers.

Is that a manager talking us up for once? It makes me feel good to read positive words and feel positive vibes after being told for so long we're crap and this is what it is so get used to it.

And you know what? We might still go down, but I bet we don't do it like a demoralised dog in the rain waiting for his next beating and thanking his owner for any mouldy crumb tossed to him.

I worry that it's all out there and he's talking his diary through the press. If he had ideas and was confident he'd do what van gaal or others do and shut up and get on with it deflecting the press with tit bits and allowing the squad protection. I suspect there's going to be a degree of Teflon shoulders when he needs to man up. I'd prefer he be a bit more level headed for the players benefit and keep it in house a bit more, but at least it's noteworthy and he's very positive. Keep us up and he can say anything he likes, but I find gobby managers just look like idiots when they're in the bottom reaches.

He's cocky, brash, arrogant and self-important. That's his style. But I will wager the players prefer to play for him than the last geezer, and that's what's important right now. He's got me on board.

From what I've seen / read of Sherwood so far I can completely see how Fox having met & chatted with Sherwood a couple of times felt he was the man for the job.

Yes, he's cocky loud mouth but it's hard not to get swept up in his positivity.

Go On Tim!

Absolutely. And he's not fallen into the air of acceptance that the club has reeked of in the last 3-4 years. Under TSM1 and TSM2 it just felt like scraping by survival was enough. It was now our lot in life. It got to the point under Lambert that it felt as if we went into matches with white flags out before we'd even kicked off.

What I love is the respect Sherwood has for the size of this club, and ultimately where he feels this club should be. Will he get us there? Who the hell knows. As people say, this is going to go very right or very wrong. I don't think there's a middle ground with someone like Sherwood. But at least there is that glimmer of hope.

Exactly.  Cant believe anyone thought putting it up was a good idea.  Smacks of small time.
