Sanchez have to remember had little summer break and has to deal with a new league. He has looked great in some games but other's he has made some poor errors and dwelled on the ball.Still a good player in there though.

Not been impressed with Cleverly and would have had Sanchez over him but last night he was very good chased the ball down and kept it well so can see why he is ahead of Sanchez at moment.

I think it's more that Sherwood sees it as Westwood or Sanchez at the base of the midfield.  In all 3 games we've had 1 deeper than the rest and it's been one of those pair.

To me they almost look, for want of a better expression, institutionalized.

When the equalizer went in, they kind of lost impetus but maybe I am just being over critical.

They look like a bunch who've been sleeping deeply (god knows they've tried hard enough to send us to sleep) and are slowly waking up and remembering where they are and what they're supposed to be doing.

They were really up for it last night, in a way that I can't remember seeing too often. Great to see and no wonder the atmosphere was so good.

I think the way he has 'tinkered' with his line ups early on has got everyone on their toes. Everyone has a chance of playing, very few are certain of playing.

Sanchez hasn't played well since he arrived, and does appear to be out of form generally. I don't get the Gil thing at all though.

What? Up until the Arsenal game he'd been our best player. No question he was shit against Arsenal and was poor after 60 minutes against Stoke, but then who wouldn't be after having to do his own job and that of Delph.

Gil is fully fit so there was no excuse to leave him out. He got bullied against Stoke and I imagine Sherwood thought Albion would be physical too. What surprised me last night on seeing how open the game was, Sherwood never brought him on in the second half. He'd have ripped them a new one. Maybe he's saving him for Saturday.

He got caught out defensively a few times against Stoke and I think that has probably gone against him at the moment.  If they come with the two banks of four again on Saturday, then there is the potential for someone to play in 'the hole' and get on the ball in dangerous positions.  N'Zogbia did it a few times last night without really producing anything and I wonder if Sinclair would have some joy in that role.

There was definitely a sign of the midfield 3 having more defined roles on Tuesday night and it seemed to benefit both the individuals and the team. I honestly still believe that there's a decent player in Cleverley and hopefully being given licence to play a bit further forward will bring out the best of him between now and the end of the season. His work-rate was excellent against the Baggies.

BT kept showing him every few minutes. They'll probably have a manager cam at some point.

Better than scribbling in a notepad.

I don't have sky, is that normal for the manager to be up in the studio/box shortly after the match?

It's on the BBC tomorrow I see. I wonder if they'll do what they did in the earlier rounds and go in the smaller club's dresing room?

Whichever channel it was on, is it now a regular thing?

If not, I'm undecided whether he's a publicity whore or valiantly raising the profile of the club.  If it continues, I'd imagine my view will change depending on whether we have won or not.

I was unsure when he was appointed but like many others I will give him a chance and get behind them. You can't deny he is passionate and enthusiastic and it seems to be contagious. If he can give the players a lift and the club then long may it continue.
