He did have a bit of bad luck in losing Richardson just before they equalised. He had rightly identified Cissoko as being as next to useless going forward and Richardsons demise lead to the goal at the worst time.
Vlaar's error was 100% Vaar's fault to.
I looked at the subs at half time and thought there was no game changer to bring on,he's inherited a crock of shit.

He has inherited some decent players with no confidence. He has to get them playing,
but Sanchez and Gabby have to go!

Newby, how long has Sanchez been in the country?

I think Sherwood can do a good job, he has come in at an awful time, personally Gil and Sinclair either side of Brnteke is good but we need width as well

Gil got found out a bit yesterday and was bullied off the ball a number of times, Stoke is one opposition where he should have been left on the bench.

What on earth  was Vlaar playing at?  Never seen him take chances like that for Holland in the world cup so why do it for Villa .Down to him we did not get a point

Sherwood, no doubt, has inherited a pile of crap however that was shocking from him yesterday. There were 6 60 plus yarder hoofs in the first 4 minutes and didn't get any better post that. Did he really think his out of form number 20 was going to demolish a giant Stoke team on his own?
Hopefully he has now managed to realise how enormous a job he has on his hands and can do something about it but....

Nope not at all and principally because we can't create goal scoring opportunities.

If we could create goalscoring opportunities do we have anyone anyone up front to get in the right positions to tuck them away. The answer is no. Perhaps we should have bought that bloke from Derby who keeps scoring those..er.. goal things. His name escapes me at the moment.

But we dont create goalscoring chances do we?. So they might as well keep him....and get promoted.

I think he realises now how much work is in front of him.

Even if the manager bounce doesn't work because too much damage has been done I hope the fans stay behind him. I was not over the moon about him being the manager but now he's here he needs to have a good look at this team. Something's wrong and it's time we shifted some players out. His biggest problem is going to be who's here to play football or who's here to pick up the pay cheque.

Since when did a body-warmer become a gilet?

Feel sorry for Sherwood. Left to try and sort out this mess while the owner sits on the other side of the Atlantic. It's about time a Lerner out banner was unfurled. He gets a too easy ride because he's never at games. He's a disgrace.

Is that going to make a buyer turn up quicker?

That'll sort everything out.

We're nearly finished, today was a complete disaster of a result.

It certainly was Paul. We failed against a Stoke side missing Shawcross and Crouch. This was a very important match for all kind of reasons and we fell short in many areas. Just like most matches this season. Sherwood must have had a very poor nights sleep.
