One thing is for sure .Stoke on Saturday is a very important match for Tim Sherwood and the Villa supporters in general. A win would be most helpful in seeing a positive future.
It's a winnable fixture. Massive game.
Should be a good atmosphere. Reckon we'll come flying out the traps.

Let's put it this way. The gate has gone from 23k to 35k plus for a game versus Stoke. Villa fans just needed to feel a pulse to get back to doing what they love, and really feeling passionate about the club again. Up until this appointment we were as good as dead. The pulse was really faint. Surely that counts for something.

There is zero chance we'd have got 23K against Stoke.

I've gone from dread to excitement for our matches. Hopefully the players will feel the same.

From dread to hopeful for me.

Fuck me, the bloke can't do right for doing wrong.

Personally, I find it refreshing to hear a bit of straight (football) talking, after all the bullshit and guff we have endured from TSM2 over the last 2.5 years.

If it sounds like simple 'coach speak' then so be it.
Maybe, just maybe the players will now understand what is expected of them if its put in simpler ways !

Your right he cant win and he hasn't even got started yet, all this dissecting of the words he says and how he says them, I dont give a shit about what his ex players or journalists think all I care about is whether he can keep us up this season, he talks in a way that a simple man like me can understand, talks with a passion, I like that.

The change was desperately needed. He's got my backing.

At the very least, something has changed.

Whether it is for the better or the worse, we don't know yet, but something will be different, that much we do know. That alone is cause for hope.

Same here. Although I had my reservations at the start there is now a hint of light at the end of the tunnel.

Backing a new manager should be taken for granted.

Yes, be angry, disappointed, emotional, elated, hopeful or cynical when they make an appointment, but from then on, when the games start, you have got to back him.

Same as even McLeish got (although big sections of the media seem to have missed that at the time).

I'd also say there's very little chance it will be worse whatever happens. We were in a cycle of decline, we didn't score and we lost all the time.

God, yes.

Usually when you say "it could hardly be worse", people would suggest that it could actually be much worse, but in our case, it really couldn't.

We were in a downward spiral towards relegation. At least now we have some semblance of hope.
