It's not like he can walk in and bollock the players . He needs the players with him.
The players have the power right now .

I hope I'm wrong but he strikes me as the kind of guy who thinks we are lucky to have him. Probably because he has association with such giants of the game as Tottenham hotspurs. I dont trust our current administration to find their own arseholes in the dark so it is all a bit hit and miss. Even by that method you can stumble on success. What happened to that Pullis guy people were getting sniffy about?

Has the club not learned anything from that stupid four year Lambert contract? Why not give him the rest of the season and then think about a long term deal?

Fucking idiots.
I agree, but his representatives would not have gone for that.  I would think a 3 year contract is about the minimum anyone would take.

Pulis signed a 2 1/2 year deal with Albion.

Your both right.

A three year contract is usually the minimum anyone would take.

But about two years is the maximum time anyone would want to spend at Albion.

I know what you mean Tayls but shouldn't everyone starting a new job think that way a bit.  I wouldn't mind a bit of a billy big bollocks, I know it's very un-Brummie, but we have been too fcuking nice for too fcuking long in too many fcuking ways!

Sherwood's managerial record:

LC West Ham (h) L1-2
PL Southampton (a) W3-2
PL West Brom (h) D1-1
PL Stoke (h) W3-0
PL Man United (a) W2-1
FA Arsenal (a) L0-2
PL Crystal Palace (h) W2-0
PL Swansea (a) W3-1
PL Man City (h) L1-5
PL Hull City (a) D1-1
PL Everton (h) W1-0
PL Newcastle (a) W4-0
EU Dnipro (a) L0-1
PL Norwich (a) L0-1
EU Dnipro (h) W3-0
PL Cardiff (h) W1-0
PL Chelsea (a) L0-4
EU Benfica (h) L1-3
PL Arsenal (a) L0-1
EU Benfica (h) D2-2
PL Southampton (h) W3-2
PL Liverpool (a) L0-4
PL Sunderland (h) W5-1
PL West Brom (a) D3-3
PL Fulham (h) W3-1
PL Stoke (a) W1-0
PL West Ham (a) L0-2
PL Aston Villa (h) W3-0

Good news: Not many draws, and lots of goals.  Good record v Stoke, and beaten Man U at Old Trafford.

Bad news: Some heavy beatings in there from Chelsea, Liverpool and Man City.  Inconsistent results - doesn't seem to have established a decent run anywhere in there.

Tim Wonnacott spots bargains and makes a big profit from them.

Some fans' reaction has been completely over-the-top. I don't mind people questioning his appointment on the basis of a lack of experience but to base it on his accent or one after-match interview.

Others on here have been calling for Southgate, Jurgen Klopp, Klinsmann, come on. We don't want to be in this position but we are. Let's hope Sherwood has the passion and ability to get us winning games again.

I sincerely hope that he proves us wrong and that we get behind him.

As much as he came across as a wanker at Tottenham for how he handled some of the player issues, what if he was right? When you look at what Pochettino has done at Spurs he's not played a number of the high price players AVB brought in and has given younger, lesser known players a chance, some who were part of Sherwood's U21 set up.

Well yes Richard you are right, we have to support him. Right now I am so worried about our chances of relegation that I'd dance with the devil if I thought it would help. I'm sure we all would.

I'm a bit worried but FFS can we give him a chance to put his claret and blue gilet on before we want him out!

Quite. Can we at least give him a chance before we write him off? He might surprise us, and if he doesn't, we were doomed anyway if Lambert stayed.

Quite.

Who's doing that?
