And that's before we start on all the bollocks he's now spouting, throwing pretty much everyone at the club under the bus to protect himself. If he's blaming the players in public, not hard to imagine he's doing the same in the dressing room. Another great way to get the best out of your players Tim. Geeze i'm really beginning to dislike the bloke.

It wouldn't shock me at all Mr Shin if he lost the plot after we gave away the game at Leicester. The side looked really good up to HT and then it all fell apart. It wouldn't be beneath him to not accept of the responsibility for that collapse and squarely blame the players. We've looked a shadow of that side since and it's only getting worse. You do have to wonder what the players must be saying to each other privately about much of the bollocks they are seeing and hearing from the manager.

It looks to me like a bloke who doesn't know what to do next and is hoping to get himself sacked.

The owner of Swindon on Talksport, good friends with Sherwood, saying he wanted 3-4 players that he wanted an the club decided not to go for them and buy players they thought suitable.

If I was manager of the club I would probably walk away if I don't have total control of footballing matters.

This is why I don't think this is solely Sherwood's fault. The club isn't organised in the way it's going about things. If the sporting director or whoever is going to decide which players are signed, then he has to ensure they fit with the manager's approach, not the other way around.

To me, it looks like the club has signed players and expected Sherwood to work with what they give him, which is a stupid approach. You either dictate a way of playing and appoint the manager accordingly, or you let the manager have more control over who he signs. From what I can see, they appointed a manager and then, and only then, decided what sort of players they wanted, and they apparently didn't suit Sherwood.

If Sherwood's approach was going to involve basically Spurs cast-offs, then it might have been shit, but at least it would have made sense to him. Whoever signed the players we bought this summer doesn't appear to have done so with a tactical plan in mind.

I was in support too. I am not now though. I was wrong as can be.

It's easy to get the wrong idea about a manager.

Although, obviously, it's easy for me to say, what with me having seen through this clueless interloper right from the start  ;)

Hang on.

Is the owner of Swindon Town saying these things about the Aston Villa manager?

Fucking hell. I bet Fox and Lerner are less than impressed with this shit coming out.

That's not what was suggested in the summer though. Sherwood was banging on about finding better value abroad and they were his players. It's a very convenient excuse to throw out when things go wrong.

No doubt he'd be giving credit to Reilly and the Director of Football if we were sitting in the top six now.

He should be sacked simply for the things he's said in public about the players. It's an appalling way to behave and reflects very badly on the club as a whole that he's been able to do it.

Yet Sherwood was OK with this at the time, and has since said that he had "the last word" on all the signings.

The problem with this stuff is that it is all coming out now, and it should not be.

When Sherwood was at Spurs towards the end, their fans were using precisely the same phrase to describe Sherwood's self preservation as someone has used on here - "throwing everyone else under the bus to save himself" - and that is exactly what he has started doing here.

How on earth does he think the players - the same players he is supposed to be motivating - are going to react to hearing their manager saying how he didn't want them?

When MON got the Sunderland job, he started doing precisely the things that got him criticised by Villa fans, exactly the same thing.

Now Sherwood is doing precisely the same things Spurs fans said he was doing with them.

If he could manage to at least keep his mouth shut, this entire "I didn't pick the players" shit wouldn't be getting discussed now. Still, he thought it was worth saying it to protect his own position.

He's utterly clueless.

The board must - or they really should - be livid with him.

Lerner seems to appreciate loyalty (isn't that why lambert got a contract extension?), so I think he might be picking on the wrong person by all of this. It has all the feeling of an end game, thankfully. The man is poison.

Fucking hell. That bored comment and the bit about the players won't do what he wants had completely passed me by.

And then this Swindon chairman skit later in the day. He needs a walk around the rose garden right fucking now.

The transfer stuff is just more bollocks from Sherwood. For starters, during the summer he was acting like he was finding all these overseas gems and now he's saying they were nowt to do with him, he actually wanted to sign predictable shite from Spurs.

And does he really expect people to believe that at no time from when he was interviewed for the job to when we were signing players that he was consulted, or told, what our transfer policy was going to be.

The two young lads he wanted from Swindon who went to Barcelona and Real Madrid and Adebayor and Townsend?

We'd be sitting pretty if he'd got them.
