While I might not agree with the General coming out in the media, I also am completely against Paul Lambert coming out with his post dismissal bollocks given how much support he was given by the club. He could have been fired ages ago and the club and particularly the owner stood by him. He's coming across as an ungrateful prick. "Asked to be fired twice". Give me a fucking break.

Yeah the asked to be fired twice thing is ridiculous. If you hate stuff that much just quit or don't sign a new contract.

I've only read the Telegraph article but, unless I've missed something, I haven't seen Lambert directly quoted that he asked to be sacked twice. Telegraph Sport "learning something", and Lambert actually saying it 2 days after being sacked are two completely different things.

For everyone reading that statement and bitching about it, reread it but pretend it was written by someone else (taylor, little, mortimer, etc) and see if you're still so keen to be angry about it.  There's nothing in that which many people haven't said before, namely we spent enough, and have a good enough squad, to not be in a relegation battle for the 3rd year running and the football we've been playing has been eye-wateringly shit.

I swear some just see statements from Lerner and Krulak and start complaining without even reading them.

For me the issue is not what he said, but from the supposed source and the timing.

I think that it's pretty rich coming from him of all people, considering the silence from the "Semper Fidelis"quarter during the last few years tribulations

It's just opportunist self promotion by Krulak. He's a joke.

He's not liked seeing his friend get blamed and he's defended him. It's understandable though it would have been best left unsaid. It's generally acknowledged that though money has been tight, we should have still done a lot better than what we have been doing.

So what has the General said that hasn't already been said by loads of people on here.  When Jose Mourinho said something similar not many disagreed with him.

Just take your blinkers off and read his comments properly and you'll notice the same

There's a lot to be said for a dignified silence.

Does seem a bit unnecessary on Krulak's part. Maybe the reason he has come forward and said this was because they are worried that now Lambert has said this after Mcleish made similiar comments, propspective managers may be put off?

Oh so silence is dignified for the purpose of this argument, so it's stay silent when they talk and start talking when they don't.  People here need to make their mind up and stick with it FFS either you want them to talk or you don't.

I think the point is that we want the board to communicate with the supporters pro-actively and consistently. Not squabble with our recently dismissed manager through the back-pages of The Sun. I trust you can see the difference there?

Yep, in this instance, silence would be the dignified route.  Why air  the club's dirty laundry in public?   Hopefully this is just The Sun printing nonsense.

He's always been a loose cannon. We loved the 'pigs in mud' quote and this is much the same. Most of this is down to the sun stirring it.
